@highammichael: Yeah, I just don't like having to take my fingers off the movement controls in a tight situation to find the number on the row. It's one of those things you learn to live with but then when you find a better way, there's no going back. I don't bother programming too many macros but weapon switching is super useful.
That's what I love about PC gaming though, the ability to have those preferences & make those choices for yourself.
I go between palm & claw grip & it's good for both. It's actually a fairly heavy mouse which I didn't know I wanted until I tried it. Now most other mice just feel to light & too easy to throw around the mat imprecisely.
They call it an "MMO Gaming Mouse" but those buttons are actually really useful for switching weapons in shooters like Far Cry or Doom or even readying signs in The Witcher 3. Being able to switch weapons without taking your fingers off WASD makes a huge difference. Plenty of Mice have a decent sensor & a nice hand-feel but there's no way I'm giving up my thumb buttons now that I have them.
FF XV looks pretty cool so I'd love to play it. Hopefully they'll finish up the story changes they're making & it'll be content-complete by the time it comes to PC.
@Herrick: You get a little dot above the head of people who will be able to see through your disguise. It feels a little bit like cheating but it's so much better than people just recognising you without any warning.
There's some online leaderboards & stuff but that could easily be be a periodic connection to update. My best guess would be anti-cheat measures for said leaderboards.
There's also the Contracts mode & a "target of the week" type thing but again, that could all be done without a constant connection.
@Yams1980: Obsidian are still doing that kind of style with Pillars but apparently there's some bad blood between them & Bethesda so I don't know if they'll get a chance at the Fallout franchise again.
