@neo-rtsd: I actually have two 970s in SLI which are very capable of 1440P, especially with G-Sync. Unfortunately my VRAM doesn't get the benefits of having two cards.
I've been waiting for a GOTY edition for Fallout 4. How do they justify selling the Season Pass for more than the base game?
I'm always down for hi res textures but I'm starting to feel the limitations of my GTX970's VRAM in recent months. I'd like to know how much it uses at 1440P.
@beantownsean: I would still recommend AMD GPUs to friends at the mid-range level. If you're just dipping your toe into PC gaming or turning an old machine into a second gaming station on a budget, AMD offer pretty great value.
I bought a G-Sync monitor (which is amazing) so I'm pretty much locked into Nvidia for a while unless AMD adopts the standard. I haven't had an AMD CPU in over a decade but it would be really great if they could bring out a high-end chip. Intel are pretty much sitting on their laurels, introducing more power efficiencies than improvements in recent generations.
