I would say things like clipping through the map are perhaps a larger problem than inventory management. Clipping hasn't been a frequent problem for me through most of the Alpha.
As you progress through the game and begin to build storage, inventory becomes a bit more civilized. One thing I did was dig large storage pits in underground locations to dump all the extra inventory I couldn't carry. I did however on one occasion have all my inventory and a vehicle clip into an underground cavern which I eventually found.
I actually thought the tether situation was corrected, but maybe not. My understanding of the tether bug was that the game tracked all the tethers ever laid, so when you leave tethers on other planets, they are still being computed.
Overall I enjoyed the game...I think its much better than a 6, particularly for those who enjoy exploration and crafting
I've heard so many complaints from gamers about Steam being a Monopoly. Now that there is a real emerging competitor to Steam, gamers are complaining "unfair" tactics.
Personally, I'm not going to blame Devs for wanting to bank more. Its like choosing to pay 18% more to support a local neighborhood shop instead of ordering online...who does that?
If I have old PC parts I want dump on eBay and I want to move it, I usually undercut most other sellers.
I wasn't crazy about the first game, but it was fun enough. If I can get it on discount, I might pick it up.
Given the popularity of Fortnite, I would think the Epic Store should have sufficient market penetration. I've heard a number of complaints from gamers that Steam is a "monopoly"...well it looks like the competition is growing.
