I liked the first game a lot. Though got to admit I found some of it a little confusing in terms of objectives and how to achieve them. Also, the graphics of the first game, being essentially at 360 level did make for a 'variable' game play experience at times. I've pre-ordered the digital only, play anywhere edition for PC and my X1X for £39.00 UK. Bit of a steal that. Though, we haven't seen any console footage so far, which is slightly worrying, this close to release. This game could help MS' credibility enormously, or just add to their woes if console version turns out to be poor. Anyway, here's to co-op Zombie bashing.
@packard1: Yeah, I echo your sentiments to a degree. I recently unsubscribed from a 'well known' site, because it became so toxic. I am seriously hoping this site is a little more mature. I guess we just have to be patient and hope 'gamers' set the tone rather than the toxic minority.
@Trinitarian: Yeah, I been following the coverage on IGN myself. They must have a half a dozen or so very meaty game play videos now. Still, to be fair, that was probably something arranged with MS to give a particular positive level of coverage. Just guessing, though.
Really looking forward to this game. Been following for a while now, and it does seem to have improved with time. I've pre ordered the ultimate, play anywhere edition (digital only). My only reservation is why we haven't seen any footage for the X1X or X1 versions of the game, this close to launch. If they release a poor version for consoles - stuttering frame-rate or the like, that could harm potential sales,I think. Obviously, PC will be the better version, but I would like to play with friends on my X1X, too. Hope they don't blow this chance to redeem some MS cred.
@deviltaz35:With you there. Prey is such an underrated game. I think all that nonsense over the name caused it some problems, initially. Although, bit of a sleeper hit now. Only issue with Prey imo, other than a number of bugs, is that bloody Nightmare creature. I won't waste ammo on it so just sit it our for 2mins.
@sakaixx: You know, I had the exact same thought. Wondered maybe their game was riddled with MT's from it's design stage, and seeing the bad press on such things, decided it was easier to quit it than re-model.
@blitxxx1981: Isn't that the case with all such things, like mobiles and broadband? Give you great deals to suck you in, then once they have a contact signed it's FU, matey. I understand your annoyance.
@The_Dragon_Born: Yep. Picked up the £6.00 deal, then went straight to my account and disabled auto renewal, which would have cost me £14.99 for the next three months had I not done that. Still, £6.00 for 3 months ain't bad. I got it so I can try SOD2 on line when it arrives on 18th May, even though I got the play anywhere edition. Appreciate the heads up though.
Free pop corn is still welcome, even if the movie is crap! BC is a good thing, regardless of your views on MS or the Xbox brand. Plus, I wouldn't be slagging it too hard, because Sony will absolutely have it, next gen. Bottom line, don't knock something which is good for gamers. And it is, good for gamers.
