Graphics wise it's clearly current gen...Witcher 2 looked better graphically, though I admit, the world was definitely smaller...

And that 7/8 year old console is not the same as it was when it launched, since it got upgraded a few times, plus better engines were built for it...

As far as assumptions go, it's safer to assume that because the game comes out on PS3/X360, the engine itself is being run on those machines = the footage is current gen console...PS3 if gamespot is to be believed

Honor and name? Reputation? A new generation who hasn't heard of Warcraft most probably won't play the games...and if the movie gives the franchise a bad name, then it's not the movie's fault, it's the fault of people who think a movie can define if a franchise is good or not...

I wouldn't worry about the opinion of shallow people like those...

In the end one failed media installment of a franchise does not diminish the original series, be it a Warcraft game, or the Airbender series...

I can see the problem...condensing the Warcraft universe in one feature length film should be hard....

As someone said below....an animated series would be the best approach to adapt the games...or multiple movies, but not just one in any case...

They could use the lore from the books to enrich the movies too...so many possibilities
