IMHO, Okami is the absolute opposite of shovelware. The controls are NOT broken, they just have a learning curve, especially if you're switching over from using the DualShock II. The filter is still there, it's just not as apparent. I never liked the filter to begin with, so I don't miss it.

Anyway, the entire epic adventure is still intact. If you have a Wii and need an adventure (and have already beaten Zelda TP) buy it.

Jaysonguy, when you say that Game Party is not shovelware, I have to question your sanity. That thing is totally broken and unfinished, and in no way deserves to sell a million. Midway, **** YOU.

As for Ninjabread man and his DDI brethren... there was no hope for them. Let's leave it at that.

A game that's broken to a point where the user can't enjoy it as promised.

Usually a rushed game falls prey to this with games like Ninjabread Man or Okami.

ECG_24

So you're saying Okami is shovelware and Game Party is not?

Yup

Okami was ported by a lower teir set of devs to hurry and catch on to the Wii. A large chunk of the game is either missing or broken from everything from the filter to the controls.

Capcom could have had one of their top tier devs take the game and bring it over to the Wii but then that would have taken extra time. Instead we got the second rate version with visual imperfections, framerate issues, and broken controls.

Thanks for the sig. ;)

PWNED!

If you want to see how good a game is you go by the people that are actually buying the game.

ECG_24

I've heard nothing but bad things from the owners.

So your browser is unable to go to Amazon?

Here's the direct link....

Knowledge is power!

So you trust anonymous/ semi-anonymous ratings to represent the majority of Game Party owners?

So how are the people at Metacritic doing these days?

The "people" at Metacritic are actual video game critics.

So the answer would be "I don't know how they are at all Jason"

Gotcha

So I guess you feel bad about the whole asking me about "trusting people I don't know if they say they like the game" huh?

Critics > Anonymous people who may or may not be actual owners of the game or give meaningful reviews/scores any day.

Your logic gets weaker all the time.

Metacritic actually averages all the reviews to arrive at a final score, much like Rotten Tomatoes- except Metacritic does much more than just movies. They also do DVDs, music, books, and video games.

Anyway, I tend to rely on professionals when making game-buying decisions. if not for them, I would never have heard of Okami or Zack & Wiki.

Wow... all of a sudden, I don't give a crap if 2K doesn't make a Wii version of Civilization Revolution. I want my God game, *expletive* it!

They most likely will make a new game to coincide with the upcoming movie, Transformers II.

If you need tennis on your Wii, dust off your copy of Wii Sports, or just wait it out for Mario Tennis.
