AÂ few days ago I thought that 20,000 wasted was a nice round number in my GTA career. Well, I hit another milestone just today:
100,000 Bullets fired.
I'm starting to think that I really need to find a new PSP game.

I play GTA: Liberty City Stories nearly every day, even if for only 15-20 minutes. It sort of gets my day going: get's the blood moving, maybe get some adrenaline in there. In anycase I noticed something as I checked my stats:
20,000 people "wasted." And nearly 5,000 cars totaled.
Now to be fair, I cheat to get ammo mostly because I lost interest in the story line a couple months ago and now I just find fun in ramping up my wanted meter and making a run for the nearest Paint n Spray. I'm to the point where I keep my very own Rhino in my Staunton Island garage for those particularly rainy days.
I only thought to post this because I'm not sure if I should be proud or not...
About a week ago I broke down and replaced my (6-7 year old) Sony VAIO 866 with a home built rig:
The cost wasn't too bad (thanks mostly to New Egg) and considering that I can now do more than one thing at a time without the system bogging down it's well worth it.
The only funny this is that the OS install didn't work out the way it should have. I bought an OEM copy of Media Center but it would not install properly. I then grabbed a copy of XP Home Edition I have lying around, installed that, then installed Media Center on top of that. It worked like a charm, but somehow I nowhave XP Professional. I think I'll live with it until I can get my upgrade to Vista. But if anyone has a suggestion I'm all ears.
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm looking foward to the Wii. I still have a NES and even a N64 (just for Goldeneye), however since then Nintendo has done very little to keep my interest. Mario Party has its charm, but even that was not enough for me to dish out the cash. And while I think New Super Mario Brothers is a very entertaining game for the DS, I still find myself regretful for spending the (then) $150 on the system. Now to be fair, I can't name a single game that the Wii is going to have for launch, but when I heard old NES and SNES games will be available to download (even for a price) I instantly fell in love. I don't understand what it is with the new Nintendo titles, but nothing Nintendo has done lately seems to move me like their orgional did and still do. Maybe it's just simple nostalgia. But my collection and wishlist is full of new games for the PS2/3, 360, and PC...all games I play often and look foward to spending many hours on, but I can't figure out if Nintendo has lost it's ability to churn out appetizing titles en masse or if I've simply grown out of their target audience.
But I'm sure this is what Nintendo had in mind with their new system: keep the games coming for the younger crowd and let the older generation (who by now has extra money to spend) reminiscence in Nintendo's 8-bit glory days.
Now I'm hoping you won't have to pay out your ear for the old titles...
