@chiefwiggum16: hell, I love Zelda games and if I was a big name celeb whom they've agreed to let me promote for cash, I'd do it in a heartbeat at a pay cut. Point being, paid advertising or not, that doesn't mean he can't genuinely like the thing he's promoting.

@superklyph: you'll be surprised how much chill time these celebs get while travelling. Alot of them have been known to get consoles installed into their tour bus accommodations just to have something to do in between..

@videogameninja: A vast majority of celebrities game or used to game. I can't be f**ed to know what A list rank they are but basketball players, actors like Mila Kunis, Terry Crews who plays pc games religiously and singers like Bieber, not even scratching surface of names. It shouldn't be much of a surprise either that the vast amounts of wealth they earn off of single instances of work enable them to spend their lifetimes doing f*ck all but game on a lazy boy.

When you don't have an 8 hour shift or work year round like the average Joe, there's little to do BUT game.

@sol_invictus3: It all comes down to a matter of perspective. I determine my value on whether or not I feel i'll still be playing in 3 weeks. So far, despite flaws, it's a yes without shadow of doubt based on how much fun I'm having with the combat system. It will earn my 60$ over 30 hours of multiplayer for sure.

@Foxhound71: TashunkoSapaThen visit Metacritic and get a second, third, fourth and fifth opinion. Or dab on the user reviews to get a few hundred "not paid for ones" idiots keep groveling on about regardless of fact. Jkittleson 's opinion isn't as suggestive as you might think because from a critique standpoint, it was a well received game despite its flaws. At the end of the day, don't be mad or pick on those who share different opinions than you do, nobody said this game didn't have flaws.

@WarFox89: 8/10 means Great. As in it's a great game with alot of fun factor. It's got it's flaws which may turn off a few folks, flaws that cannot be overlooked like a 10/10 perfect scored game would.

@sol_invictus3: Well experiences are subjective, you're entitled to your opinion. I haven't experienced any major matchmaking woes beyond quitters. Otherwise, I find the combat engaging and fun. You feel like a fucking badass no matter what class you play, killing an opponent is ridiculously satisfying and you can't get away with button mashing bullshit like most fighting games allow. In my experience, 8 out of 10 is fair, that's what I'd rate it, 9.5/10 for fun factor for me.

@acerock980: Right, most of my original comment addressed unfair criticism specifically for things like the quitting penalties and balancing which can and probably will be easily fixed with a day one patch. If the overall gameplay was the big concern then yes, don't bother buying because a day one patch won't fix much of that.

Overall, my experience with the game has been solid, no frame drops, fast matchmaking search times, no noticeably game breaking bugs. Just a few minor annoyances with the combat system. The server lag and drops that occur I will not piss too hard on because all these things can be patched.

@sbkline: Some of your criticisms are fair. but it's a beta, not a complete game review. They aren't gonna punish rage quitting during a beta, no game does that. Duel and 2v2 Brawl modes do not have power-ups. Only deathmatch elimination 4v4 does as a way to give a heavily outnumbered player the chance to pull a win. Your healing complaint only applies to domination and environmental deaths are very normal in many fighting games, especially important in this one when facing a class who's a lot stronger or faster than yours. Environmental deaths are meant as a way to give you a fighting chance when outnumbered.

@inmycontrol: @Henry518 From a 10 hour playthrough, I did notice that a couple classes do have range options to tag a running opponent. I assume once Beta is over, they might add a few more class abilities to that sort. And guardbreak push is a mechanic meant to break guard, not charge into an attacking opponent.
