First off i live in Louisiana and Louisiana is ranked one of the lowest educaton-wise in the country(USA has terrible education too start with)

Im 16 years old and vietnamese and im a sophomore in Highshcool.  I got A's in all of my math classes i have tooken so far(pre-Alg, Alg1, Geometry)

I want to go to college for computer software engineering and that requires a lot of Math.

Problem is, is that my Highschool only goes up to Advanced Math-Pre cal when you are a senior<<< ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!

This is the track i am on right now:

9th-Alg1(got an A in the class and excellent on the End of course Test)

10th-Geometry(currenlty taking this class and is wayy too easy)

11th-AlgII

12th-Advanced math-pre cal.

^^So0o as you can see my school sucks monkey balls!  BUT WAIT- Louisiana has something called Louisiana Virtual School(link bellow)

http://www.louisianavirtualschool.net/

And they offer Pre-cal(advanced math) and Calculus!  I want to talk to my school Counselor and see if i can switch my track to this by using
Louisiana Virtual school:

10th-Finish taking Geometry(with an A)

11th- first semester i take Alg II and second semester i take Pre-cal(aka advanced math) by my school or LVS.

12- Finally take Calculus using the LVS

So as you can see i have gotton all A's in my math classes so far and done well on the tests and if i continue to get A's and do good on my tests all the way up to pre-cal, should i have a problem with taking Calculus before going to college?

Also is MY way of completing Highschool better than my current track im in? Fell free to tell me anything else!

oh and the education of the private schools are not better I REPEAT NOT BETTER than public school(at least around where i live) becuase they are going to do everything they can to keep getting your money

For instance i know ALOT of people who went to my school and had C's and D's and then went to the private school and there grades got ALOT better to like A's and B's.

[QUOTE="biggerdjam"] my Current GPA from my freshmen to my Softmore is a 3.6 which is becuase there was a teacher who didn't like vietnamese people and i got a C in that class my freshmen year when i took herJML897
You can't spell sophomore. I have a feeling you didn't get a C because the teacher hates Vietnamese people.

civics class, and no the teacher was 70+years old and already called me a "vit".

First off your grammar is atrocious for an honor student.

Second, as long as you keep challenging yourself and do well in your studies, you'll increase your chances of getting accepted. Truth is, colleges would probably prefer a 3.2 GPA student who challenged him/herself than a student with a 4.0 GPA who took very easy courses.

Third, it's up to you if you're on the right track or not, not a bunch of Gamespotters here. Talk to your parents or counselors, try to see if there are job shadowing opportunities, talk to your teachers, do something else besides talk to us.

Forth, I know I said don't take advice from Gamespotters here but here's some sage advice: Be humble because you sort of came off as a pretentious jerkoff with that post. You'll get far in life if you're not a jerkoff.

I think i am smart and i trying to take the hardest classes i can in HS but my school doesnt offer BARELY any advanced classes or honors classes. I live in Louisiana and i want to go to college for computer software Engineering.

For instance i took Alg.1 in 9th, im currently taking Geometry in 10th, then i take Alg2 in 11th, and advanced math/pre-cal when im a FREAKING Senior. !!!!

For my scienced i took Physical in 9th, im currently taking Biology I in 10th, next year my school offers AP chemestry, and when im a Sr. ill be taking Biology II.

Oh and when im a Sr, i have the option to take Honors English and my Current GPA from my freshmen to my Softmore is a 3.6 which is becuase there was a teacher who didn't like vietnamese people and i got a C in that class my freshmen year when i took her.

I am not happy with the track i am on for i would like to be taking ALOT more Honors/AP courses but my FREAKING SCHOOL IS SO SHORT HANDED ON TEACHERS!!!!!!!

FML my school is bottlenecking me lol and i seriously feel so dumb against people who I KNOW who go to a different school and is in the same grade as me but are taking MORE ADVANCED CLASSES than me and it makes me feel bad!!!

I CANT EVEN TAKE 2 FREAKING MATH COURCES IN 1 YEAR!!!

[QUOTE="dercoo"]

Still, there is hope for BFME3.

With the Hobbit breaking records, and two more down the road, I can see EA trying to cash in on this.

Zlurodirom

I don't think EA has the rights to the franchise anymore unfortunately.

WHo does?
