In case somebody wants to refute this by saying that Origins has an offline option, you may want to remind them that an Origins user still needs to make an online login first before going offline. Either that, or completely disconnecting the computer from the Internet.
@blackace It's silly to bring up the NFL license, if 2K could have gotten the exclusive license, they would have too. NFL 2K5 is the best football game ever made, I blame the NFL for that stupid move. You should also check your facts, the deal was not for 15 years. The original deal was only for 3 years and was extended by 5 years in 2008 which would have made the past season the last year. However, because of the lockout and uncertainties, the NFL and EA worked out a new 1 year extension through the end of the upcoming season. I have not heard anything about a new contract so it is possible that 2K returns to the fold next year. Oh, and 2K owns the MLB license, so are they just as bad?
Put it in the next Xbox and add PC monitor support. Better yet, put the GTX 780 in instead, so it's at least 5 years future proof. Will this baby cost as much as the next gen game consoles? I'm sure it will.
It's cool, but I already own an IPad 2. There's no reason to buy an IPad 3 if you already own the 2nd one. If you don't own any IPads, this would be a great place to start. It's not going to replace your PC, XBox 360, PS3 or Wii, that's for sure, but It's a nice device to use to surf, play some games, chat with love ones, check e-mail, shop for things or read a book. My wife uses our pretty much every day. She doesn't like to sit at the PC all the time. Going outside or to the park and relax and use it. Listen to music and shop for shoes. I use it more for games and watching movies. I also let my daughter use it to play Angry Birds and read interactive books. She's love it. She's only 2, but knows how to start the games and books, and they play them.
I pre-order games that I think will be worth the cost of $60. If it's not going to be worth $60, I won't waste my money, even if it has extra content. I didn't even bother with Street Fighter -vs- Tekken or Silent Hill: Downpour. Not worth $60 to me especially when Capcom is going to release an update version of the game in a few months.
Well, I completely agree. Seriously, this wouldn't even be an issue right now if Sony did two things. 1) Include a 16GB SD memory card in the box. 2) Include Uncharted: Golden Abyss game with the system. If they had did that and sold it at the same price, I would have bought one immediately. Sure, Sony would have lost a lot of money in the process (nothing new for them though, they lose $1 billion every quarter), but they would have easily sold millions of PS Vita in the first month alone. That's what they really want. Oh well. Now I have to wait a full year for the price to drop on everything (system, games, memory card, dlc, etc..). Good job Sony.
@solidsnakehd I want a release date for ff versus and mgs rising. ***************************************************************** Yes and Last Guardian, GTA V, Diablo 3 and Halo 4. It's pretty obvious what will be show at 2012 E3. Nintendo will be showing more Wii U, but with playable demos this time around from 1st and 3rd party studios. We'll probably get a release date for Wii U. We'll see a slew of 3DS games as well. I'm hoping we get The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles as well. Sony has no plans to launch a new system yet, but they are working on one. They probably won't launch theirs until 2014 or a few months after Microsoft releases theirs. In any case, Sony is concentrating more on games, 3D and sequels. They don't seem to be concetrating as much on Move like Microsoft with Kinect, yet they do have a few games that will use the Move. They are looking to increase their PSN content as well in 2012. Microsoft of course will show some form of hardware in 2012 and maybe a glimpse at some of the games that will be playing on it in 2013. I expect we'll see an updated Kinect application with new Kinect games. Hopefully they have a ton of exclusives to show, but Microsoft don't seem to concentrate on that as much lately. We'll see Halo 4, another Fable game (sigh..) and hopefully some new IP's. M$ needs to give us something that's revolutionary.
