[QUOTE="verparanoidpers"][QUOTE="Thinker_145"][QUOTE="LordEC911"][QUOTE="Thinker_145"]Did you miss out on Assasins Creed selling over a million in it's first week??? And i also said "for many people" and not "for everyone".Thinker_145
Yes, I did miss out on that but you are also missing out on ONE BIG FACT.
Assasins Creed hasn't come to PC yet...
So why are you giving me sales numbers for a freaking console game when we are talking about PCs?
I was just pointing out how many people buy a big game within it's first week. And they are normally the most hardcore gamers(not saying by any means that people buying games late arent hardcore) which ATI is not going to make happy by releasing a hotfix after so many people have played the game. hardcore gaming enthusiasts make up a very small minority of the marketSo you think a casual gamer would buy a $1000 PC???And 1 million is VERY SMALL minority??
considering most average up-to-dateNON-gameing desktops range from $500-$1000 for everything, yes i would say a "casual gamer" would easily spend OVER $1000 on a PC (be that what they are "casual gaming")compare 1 million to the pop of the US, and yeah, that is an extreme minority.
Facts point out that the 8800 is better now and that's all you need to know.
The 3870 might be better after a few driver's release. But how much will that gain be, 1-5%?
Bebi_vegeta
maybe....but personally i would take a1-5% increase for $50-$100 less ANY day
