@dark_k: "That's because people think with their hearts rather than your minds and are therefore overreactive..."
ME3 disproves this claim. The more you analyze and "think" about this game the more stupid it is. It´s a funny thing. Normally people who "hates" one game knows less about that game than people who loves the game. In ME3, the irony of things is that, people who "hates" the game normally knows more about the game (and the serie) than people who loves the game.
"...the ending was definitely a misstep but everything leading up to that was pretty damn good."
This is one of the biggest lies in debates about ME3. Only the ending is bad... No, that´s not true, there are a lot of other things that are bad, the endings only took most of the hate because are truly despicables.
You have the beginning of the game who literally kills ME1 main plot. Then you have a main plot who is based in a Deus Ex Device so damn stupid that is insane to even think about it.And then (and this is for ME1 and ME2 fans) a slow killing of Shepards personality and values. And a lot of plot holes, bad writing, fetch quests and obviously the evil endings.
"People forget it's about the journey not the ending..."
Not if the endings spits in everything you have done so far. And I´m being nice. The journey was great until the beginning of ME2 dlc Arrival. That's when Supermac started to kill Shepard and become artistic.
"LOTR trilogy is still considered a masterpiece in spite of the boring way it finished."
Well... Aragorn was not the villain in the end. He tried to save everyone, not just some people. He didn't rape anyone or ended as the supreme overlord (well, in a way it did, but in a good way, ahah).
The problem was not to end in a bad way... The problem was to kill the very essence of ME1 and ME2.
@Thanatos2k: "effected the ending" ? You mean the colour choices at the end? I understand it is a stupid move, no doubt about it, but... What would truly change? The stupidity of the main plot would still be there, the three crimes would still be there. The main problem of ME3 is bad writing.Nothing more. The biggest problem I have with EA is that they let go the good devs but allowed the two "artists" to stay. When we talk about ME death we are talking always about Supermac and Casey.
@bottaboomstick: "But they haven't F'ed up a ME game yet." Really? Well, they butchered ME1 and ME2 thanks to ME3... Half of the fanbase destroyed, one of the biggest shit storm in gaming story... No, everything is fine...
"Ok yea people were upset at the end of ME3 but most of those people will agree the game was great until the finale."
The endings are so horrendous that obviously people tends to focus on it. But the more you think and study the game the more stupid and moronic it becomes. Just think in the main plot....
@Thanatos2k: While I do agree that EA is the the closest thing to the devil, there is one thing that is not on them, ME3. Sadly that crap is Bioware older members (Supermac and Hudson). So I don´t know what is worst in all this story...
But the main point remains... How can we compare games so different? RE6 and Re5 are pure action. RE4 is an adventure with many: action, suspense, adventure, and a little bit of horror. RE7 is centered on horror...
@MAXAM999: Man, you need to calm down... It doesn't matter how many people enjoy the game, to some the game is awesome, to some just meh and to others bad. To me is just a disappointment, as a RE game. But the game is not bad, for what it tries to be it is in fact quite good.
That being said... "i'm so glad that RE2 remake is already announced"... yeah baby...
@Lionheart199020: It's A funny statement... but distorted at its core. You have many enemies, that's true, but the zombies were part of the ambience of the game. The zombies were not there to be a dangerous enemy, they were there to show you the result of a biological outbreak. To show you a decaying world (in the originals a decaying city).
