@Barighm: Then sorry for the grammar ( something I have zero problems to assume as a personal fault).

The CG movies are a different kind of thing.

@ecs35: Well... We already have that in the Jack Krauser fight... to me personally it was enough. But in the end its their choice, I have the original to play if this one is not of my liking.

@johndoe12345: "Your #9 argument is that the people playing the game didn't understand it"

There are many people who understand the game, and some (a few) of those people don't like the game.

"if you "didn't get the message" you weren't playing the game right."

No, no, no, no... There is no right way to play the game, it's up to the player. But if you want to complain about the story or the narrative you need to pay attention to the details, the events and different actions that the game provides you. Other wise it is just empty complains.

"revenge will cost you everything is the overall message of the game"

It's an oversimplification... especially in a game filled with a ton of themes... but ok...

"you think insulting the rest of us..."

No... I´m far from it... yet...

"It took characters that we, the actual fans..."

So... you think you are more of a fan than me? LOL

"The story made every character involved unlikable."

To some people? Yes... To other people not so much. I still love Ellie, Joel, Dina, Lev, Yara, Tommy, Jesse and Owen. Oh... and now I´m able to empathise with Abby and her miserable life.

"At the end of the story the only character you could even remotely feel sorry for was the dog."

I guess that is one of the biggest difference between people who loves the game and people who don't like it... heart, empathy, pity, understanding... the good things in human nature... Hey... but at least you have empathy for the dog... its a start...

Funny you say the dog and not the dogs...

"So yeah, we got the overall theme/message of the story..."

I still got the feeling you don't...

"the fans said this is a terrible story."

Which fans? You talking in absolutes is a bit confusing. Especially to a TLOU fan as myself...

@gamerbum: "Proof again that the majority of gaming sites are biased and still favour playstation.!"

LOL...

"The gameplay is a 6/10."

I disagree. The gameplay is great. And more importantly, perfect balanced with the story and narrative elements. I would argue the same about the first game gameplay when it was released, this is not uncharted games, you need balance between the action and the stealth.

@johndoe12345: To like or not a game is a personal opinion. No right or wrong about it. I dont like elder rings and games like that, still, I can understand and respect the real quality behind it. My personal taste is my own vision of what I like, not the quality of the product.

Now, replying to your comment, 99% of the people I reply complaining about TLOU2 don't understand the game or didn't even played it.

Criticism is fine, but based on reality...

And the key bits of the complaint about TLOU2 is a joke... the argumentation is based on ideas who stuck before game release. Thats why I enjoy these kind of debates, is just funny...

@cboye18: I respect your opinion, still I disagree. But is a matter of personal taste, and in that regard, there is no right or wrong for me to argue about.

@johndoe12345: Of course not... it is actually superb. And why? Besides the fact I love the story, the gameplay, the graphics, the sound, the acting.... and so on... Because the story is bulletproof. Keep in mind I´m not saying that you must like it, I´m telling that from a narrative perspective is close to perfection.

"just because gamespot gave it a good rating"

LOL... The rating from gamespot is low... LOL

"Neil Druckmann told you it was good, and you like terrible "message" driven stories"

Luckily for me, I don't need no one to tell me what is good. But I love to find people who talks about this game without zero knowledge about it...

Tell me mister (or miss).... What is the terrible message? I´m sure it will make my day...
