@Abomination713: "I'm assuming the new Star Wars Trilogy movies are your favorite movies of all time."

This reveals the level of your arguments... Which is zero.

I really don't like the new Star Wars Trilogy, and that means... absolutely nothing. This is not the new Star Wars Trilogy or any other "story" you don't like. So keep your arguments in check if you want to be taken seriously.

"Bad writing is the same as lazy writing."

No. Bad writing is so much more than just story simplification... which is the case. Let me give you an example of bad writing, Mass Effect 3. In that game, all the story elements are against (and in some cases in direct contradiction) to the first two games.

"I already gave you some..."

After points 3 4 and 5 you want me to take you seriously?

"there's no use talking to you."

I guess if those are your arguments... probably not...

@Abomination713: "There were WAY more instances of bad writing than just those two."

Sorry but... I never said bad writing, I said lazy writing, which is a different thing. Also, this game has no bad writing.

1. Yes, very lucky indeed. But being lucky is not per se a problem. The problem with that moment is the lack of effort from Abby to achieve her revenge. But like I said, that was a moment of lazy writing...

2. It makes perfect sense. The isolation is a form of balancing their feelings. Ellie is clearly in a depressive state. But they still live in between the boundaries of Jackson, because thats the only way to feel safe. The emotional moment is not the departure of Dina and the baby to Jackson... it the realization from Ellie that they moved on, that they not waited for her... she feels perception about what was lost.

3. 4. 5. LOL

6. The ending is perfect. Tell me were do you see the bad writing? If you can, obviously...

7. Then tell me the examples... because so far...

8. Lev is never a problem because being him or her is a minor thing in the story. The game never delves too much into it or tries to lecture you about it. It is what it is and it has some consequences, nothing more, nothing less. Anyone trying to see more than that have a different kind of problem...

9. Agree... Part 2 was not needed because part 1 was just perfect. But part 2 is still an awesome game. It requires more attention to the details, but that's up to the player... I like the details....

@daidochus: To win you would need this part "in every way" to be true... :) it is not...

@daidochus: If we are not talking about the animated movies and the games? Yes... this is by far the best piece of media. The so called best RE movie is, by definition, welcome to raccoon city, because it is the only who tries to follow the games story. Still crap in every way.

This show I was able to enjoy for the story and acting, but I never saw it as a RE serie.

@Abomination713: Nah... The story is great. And from a narrative perspective close to perfection. But in the end, obviously, it is a matter of personal taste, some like it, some don't.

"So many Deus Ex Machina's and characters making no sense..."

This game has two situations of lazy writing, how Abby finds Joel and Tommy... and Mel on the battlefront. Other than that the writing is bullet proof.

"There was also the gender bullshit..."

That is wrong. Sure, Lev has that label in his skin, yet, the game never lectures you about it. In fact, the game never goes deeper on some themes because the focus was since the start... Ellie.

@blaznwiipspman1: I love the LOL in your reply...

It gives you a sense or a feeling about your "opinion" been more valid, and yet, zero argumentation or justification behind....

But as you said it... "LOL. As they say, everyone has an opinion."

@blaznwiipspman1: Nah... Part 1 is a solid 10/10 and Part 2 is a 9.5/10.

The first has a more appealing and easy to digest story, the second has better gameplay... Two awesome games...
