Ok... Let's take a different approach... people is so stress that is almost impossible to enjoy something without being hacked by the negativity...
This was the weakest episode so far for me. (Not because of the story. So far, in narrative terms everything is fine by me, I have little problems of different views based on different backgrounds... )The pacing was a little off and that put everything in a narrative slow motion. Also the acting (of the little girls) could be a little better, and that is in fact interesting, because I see moments of bad acting and some of very good acting from them...
That being said, I'm deeply enjoying the series so far. Way more than the other Star Wars shows so far, exception made for Andor and a little bit of Ahsoka... Contrary to other people, what I am enjoying the most is the different approach to the Jedi. I was so tired of the typical Jedi template. Its as simple as this, if there are Jedi turning to the dark side, then they have emotions, if they have emotions they are able to do good and bad things. Normal human behaviour. It will be interesting to discover what really happened to all those witches. The cause of the fight and the guilt behind the Jedi actions.
I saw zero problems with the story so far. But obviously I just enjoy Star Wars as a simple fan, not a hardcore one. Thanks god for that.
The other day I saw a guy complaining because he studied Torbin evolution from Padawan to Master... and the years were not enough... well, like I said before... I´m not a hardcore fan... Thank god for that...
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade was a masterpiece in storytelling terms. I will play this game, but the first didn't need a sequel. I just hope it don't undermines Senua’s first journey.
@silentmind: Pedro pascal was not a bad casting... also not great in my opinion. But Bella Ramsey is a mismatch for me...She doesn't have any resemblance with Ellie. Especially in season 2... She doesn't look 5 years older or in the same fit as Ellie. People forget that Ellie fought countless people and a trained warrior 2 times. (one with an obvious advantage).
Bella Ramsey looks as if a 14 years old kid could easily kick her butt...
I loved the games and I loved season 1... yet... I have a feeling this season will be a complicated thing. Ellie is the same actress, so no body changing, and Ellie changes a lot from TLOU1 to TLOU2.
She may be slim but she has fitness body, you can see that especially in the last fight. But Ellie needs to be a fighting force in season two and Bella Ramsey is not that girl... sorry but it is not...
Still... I will see it... its the only way to have a proper opinion about something...
@chubby170: The story is so horrible that you are talking about a story of other game... because this story is about a love story, but certainly not the one you think.
@Simulator_Shock: "They used Ellie making out with her girlfriend as part of the game's marketing..."
Yes... Young love... and then a cut in that scene with Ellie cutting a throat wide open of an enemy with her knife... Maybe... Just maybe... they trying to show you something more than just a kiss between 2 girls... just maybe...
"you're telling me it's not woke?"
It depends on the definition of woke... if every non heterosexual relationship is woke... then ok, it is woke... but your sole definition of woke makes you a xenophobic person. Because truly, you dont know what is "woke" or not... it is not something you like or accept so... "woke"...
So Yes, I do tell you that... Tell me in the game situations that makes the game woke. Two girls kissing is not what it means to be "woke"... I hope you realise that... two strong female characters is not "woke". You need situations in the game that shows an agenda... so please, by all means, tell me... where that happens in the game? Good luck...
"even went as far as inviting some random lesbian chick"
And that's good. Diversity should not be a problem, especially in a game like TLOU. And even more especially when Ellie is gay from the start... I dont understand the problem that you guys have with people with different tastes.
"this game was used as a prop just to virtue signal to LGBT weirdos and feminists"
Are you sure you are not the weirdo? You are complaining about a second game, about a character that is gay since the first game, and thats the less relevant aspect of Ellie personality...
But now the big question (and Morgan already tried to help you)... do you even know what this game story is about? Because somehow I have a feeling you get stuck in the kiss scene, and everything else becomes blur to you...
