@lfebaggins: So many things...

I hate that they destroyed ME1 and ME2 narrative plots (especially ME1)...

I hate that they chose to stop the reaper threat with a Deus Ex Machina Device...

I hate that the Deus Ex Machina Device is the most stupid thing I ever saw in a video game...

I hate the ending... Because it makes no sense, it is stupid and filled with bad writing and plot holes, and it destroys the Paragon Shepard. Oh, and it makes you end the game as the villain of the serie... Something my Paragon Shepard would never be...

@lonewolf1044: Did I ever said otherwise? I'm talking for me, as everyone else is talking their own opinions...

But the bad writing and bad decisions are not an opinion, just an easy fact to identify...

@lonewolf1044: "plots do change"

Yes... Plots do change, personality and values don't. This is a game of choice, an rpg, you build a character to life and you define how he must act in all situations. The direction of the story is on the writer's hand, but if I´m a Paragon they are not allowed to make me the villain of the game. Not without a chance to say no... otherwise it would be a linear narrative.

I was a huge, huge fan, and ME2 was like the Saint Grail of games for me... Now I cant even touch the game... That's how impactful ME3 was...

@lonewolf1044: Nah... You get it wrong. This is not a matter of happy or sad ending.

The beginning of ME3 destroys ME1 main plot. Not only makes Sovereign a moron, but they also discarded how the reapers strategy of war works. Which is funny, because the war it would end in the first minutes of the game.

The main plot is based on a Deus Ex Machina device... but even worse, let me describe the machine: A weapon that no one knows what it is, what it does, it works, or even if the schematics are complete. But even funny: a weapon that needs to acouplate in an unknown device... Sorry, I can't describe the stupidity of this idea...its too much space magic...

And then the ending... My ME1 or ME2 Shepard would never accept none of choices of the kid. He would never allow the "reapers to win".Also, the glowing kid argumentation is flawed and easily proven wrong. And that happens in ME3 narrative, which is even more unbelievable.

"life does not always end happily and it was their choice and I support them."

Good for you... They betrayed the narrative of the first game, and give a middle finger to ME1 and ME2 fans... So no, I will never support them again, I will be a grain of sand on their shoes forever...

@bluestorm83: "But only when that ending REDEFINED awful did I start to see all the cracks that were there all along..."

Yes, this is what most ME1 and ME2 fans felt... ME2 was my most loved game and ME1 was one of the best games I ever played. So I was ready to forgive ME3 for its faults.

But when I got to the ending and my Paragon Shepard (an honorable soldier) was forced to do one of three crimes I lost it. I believed for a while in the IT, it was the only thing that was able to bring logic to the game. The EC proved it will never happen, so there was no more excuses, just the most horrible writing I ever saw.

Yes, what matters is the journey, not the ending... except if the ending makes the journey pointless.
