@Smokescreened84 @seizamsara @gamingnerd121 @finalkain no you wouldn't....unless you are already financially well off, these devs need to feed their families, this is a JOB for them.

@Smokescreened84 @bluefox755 @chuckles471 oh, so a game can only be fun if you can envision yourself as the protagonist? That's seems a bit close minded, I suggest you read some books

@Smokescreened84 @chuckles471 So, you don't enjoy gaming, you enjoy politicizing them? Who cares if it's a great, engaging, game....so long as the gender/racial roles meet your specifications.

@franzito See, this is where I take issue, you somehow elevate her above everyone else, like...her opinion matters, but mine doesn't? And you just assume you know someone's position if they disagree? This is why people are so resistant, because the rhetoric used paints us as evil, bigoted, second class citizens who have no right to disagree with someone of her stature.

@loafofgame @bluefox755 I think alot of people would be more open to it (the not opposing and the indifferent group), if the way it was carried out wasn't so aggressive, proponents of this, and it is their campaign, they control the rhetoric. Are vitriolic at worst, and dismissive of opposing opinion at best...talk civilly, try and understand why people might not be as passionate about it. Criticizing people and calling them bigots and evil, etc, only pushes them further away. It's ironic folks championing tolerance and inclusiveness are so quick to dismiss anyone who doesn't agree.

@experience_fade @SmartSuzi @goggles123456 @Jawehawk-DK I think the financial problems are much much bigger than lack of diversity, cause frankly, the publishers want to make money, if there was a demand, they would be happy to oblige.

@experience_fade @SmartSuzi @goggles123456 @Jawehawk-DK And the financial state of the game industry, you would argue, is because of lack of diversity...I call it a crusade, within gaming websites, because the issue has been hugely amped up lately, I clicked on a link earlier about battlefield 4, in the tagline of the article (wasn't and op ed), it said: "DICE confirms latest military shooter will skip Nintendo's first HD platform, won't have female playable characters in single- or multiplayer."

@Jawehawk-DK See, she sees it as a problem, meaning, it's a problem for all, there is no individual problems, just problems for society as a whole, why does she get to deem her problems everyone else's problem? Why can't we just disagree??? booth babes are not a problem for me, so am I wrong carolyn? or do we just disagree? I would like to say we can disagree. :)

@tom_cat_01 @mrbunnyban If there were a demand, then there would be a supply, maybe some women are advocating this, but the majority of the the outcry seems to be coming from men and game journalists, if women really wanted devs to start making triple A titles for them, publishers would be WELL aware of this, they make it their business to tap profitable, untapped markets, I just don't feel like the demand from women in there yet, perhaps in the facebook gaming market...Sims of course being the big exception, so it can be done, my mom who never touched a video game in her life fell in love with the sims
