@loafofgame If it becomes important enough, to enough people, it'll happen...but this crusade to force feed it to the public turns alot of people off of it. I'd like to see the poll results to a question like, out of a thousand women, how many have purchased a console or PC game for themselves, ever. Would be interesting to see how close that number is to the 'percentage of women gamers number'.
@SoreThumbsBill @experience_fade I believe it is morally wrong...that's my belief, I'm not telling anyone they can't do it, I don't hate anyone that does it...Am I a bigot as well?
@SmartSuzi @QueerGamersXist and you are being reasonable about it, but some think the best course of action is to silence people who questions things like that, or call you a bigot, I'm not sure how that divisive rhetoric helps anyone
@goggles123456 @KristoffBrujah @experience_fade probably depends on who is playing it, if violent games do more parenting to a kid than the parents do, then it may or may not be a bad thing, but if the parents are MIA, that is more than likely the bigger problem, and I kinda agree with krist, the violence is a product of culture and society, morals have loosened over the years, whether or not thats a good thing depends on who you ask.
@experience_fade @SmartSuzi @goggles123456 @Jawehawk-DK so the industry has every incentive to get on board with this crusade...why aren't they? Money talks, if people want it, where is the obstruction?
@goggles123456 @bluefox755 Well thank you, i will admit it is refreshing to state my view and not hear the counter argument to be something to the effect of: "you're wrong, a bigot, close minded, one of many ISTs" etc etc, it's always tempting to fight back and point out the hypocrisy of someone preaching tolerance, and then telling me I'm wrong because I have a different opinion than they do.
@MinerAvatar alot of games do this, but should this system be mandatory? I dunno if you've played Witcher 2, but that system would not have worked for that game, and a fantastic, deeply rich story focused game it is.
@goggles123456 @bluefox755 Wow, that sounds really complicated...don't you think people feel demeaned when patronized...? I grew up poor, and was always offended when people treated me different, or gave me sympathy because of that, i just wanted to be treated like everyone else, no special treatment...Just because I maybe didn't have it easy as everyone, doesn't mean I wanted to be treated like a child. I take it however, I am unique in this way of thinking? The suck it up, is more of a tough love thing, I believe in empowering people, and building them up, and opposed to coddling them. But like I said, I'm constantly told now that's not a good thing. Which confuses me to no end, because it feels like I'm doing the right thing.
