Let's be honest, the consoles are pretty close to one another. Main differences being Kinect and price, launch games are mediocre at best for both consoles tbh. Decision may have been more difficult for me if MS had given me the option to opt out of the kinect train, but they didn't. They've made my decision for me, I have zero interest in Kinect, so why would I spend 100 dollars more for a console when I don't want the camera?

@Stevo_the_gamer @XbotDestroyer If that horse is named Microsoft, sure. :) It's really easy to dislike them lately.

"We still know what's best for you, you're just not ready for it quite yet."

Most of the money saved from going digital is from cutting out the retailer right? Game case, disc, and manual is pretty cheap right? How about this? Digital game company that immediately ships out a physical copy with disc, case, and manual as soon as you buy the digital version? Everybody wins, the digital people are happy, the physical copy people are happy, and the publishers are happy because they didn't have to pay the retailers their cut. Great idea, no? :)

Does anyone actually believe we'd see any improvement in quality or value if we went all digital? The publishers would definitely just pass the savings onto us, right?

@demonkingx5 @XbotDestroyer @agent_nino @bluefox755 It doesn't bother me that Microsoft experimented with these policies, businesses are always looking for new and better ways to do things. What bothered me is, in the face of all the negative feedback and an angry mob of gamers, MS still says "Nope, we don't care what you (the gamer) want, we know what's best for you, and this is how we're doing it". Now that's paraphrased, but you get my point. If they had responded to all of the negativity with something like: "Our bad, you guys pay our salaries, so you we'll do it your way. After all, if we expect you to pay 500 dollars for our console, we want it to be exactly what you want!" then I would have no gripe with them.

Which is exactly why I won't be buying one.
