I think it was worth every penny. I never even looked into the game or took interest in the previews until it came out last week. Now, I've already logged about 15 hours in... that's a dollar per hour. Great value seeing as how some full priced games have 10-20 hours worth of entertainment value.

Depends on when it comes out and how much it stands out of the competition. I would consider getting it day 1 partly because I'd simply love to attend a console launch event and join in the hype and fun. At the latest, I'd probably wait a year. That's about how long I waited to upgrade to this generation: about a year for both 360 and PS3.

He's only a voice over for a standard marine, nothing stupid. So don't worry he won't be ruining the authenticity of the game or make it feel out of place... unless he starts rapping about meeting you in the club or something...

Final Fantasy X, followed by the MGS series' story as a whole. There are a ton of games I've played that have had amazing stories though. Some other notable ones are Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted, Final Fantasy 7-9, Chrono trigger, Lost Odyssey, Kingdom Hearts, and God of War. I really don't like how more and more games are getting too "be your own character, be good or evil, do whatever you want and make your story" -ish. All the games I have listed above have very linear stories (with the exception of Chrono Trigger). I really hope more developers start going back to more linear, deep stories...

I hope they patch it in. I've been waiting for them to announce a "subsistence" version of MGS4 in general. I'd probably re-buy it for the new edition, if it was anywhere near as good as subsistence was. I told myself I'd replay MGS 1-3 before playing 4 again but I haven't started yet lol. Still, hope this happens!

Probably 07, 04 was also great, and 08 was a great year for PS3. This year is good but not great. 2010 will probably be the best year ever for me, assuming all the games I'm anticipating to come out next year don't get delayed...

Dissidia. resistance is fun but not that fun IMO. Dissidia is a blast if you're a big Final Fantasy fan

Hopefully the princess doesn't fall through the map anymore

Here just got this from a gamefaqs forum post, which was originally taken from the Titan blog. * The server selection heuristic has been modified so that ping time has been more heavily weighted when selecting potential matches. This will result in players being connected to games in such a way that game population and ping are more evenly weighted. * Newly hosted servers will be more attractive to potential clients and thus fill up more quickly. The change will also better distribute connection attempts among servers and thus reduce failed attempts. * Potential servers will be given less time to respond to ping requests. This should speed up that portion of the connection process. * Selected servers will be given more time to establish a connection, resulting in fewer failed attempts. * The connection code is less sensitive to packets coming back out of order. This was a cause of failed connections. * Ice Mage and Dark Priest AoE scoring has been adjusted from 10 points to 2 points per enemy affected. * Non-worker resource return has been reduced from 20 points to 10 points. * Feeding the princess has been reduced from 20 points to 15 points. * Castle door hit points have been reduced slightly from 30 to 25. * The Princess' calorie burn has been increased at weight stage 2, 3, and 4. Calorie burn was previously 2 per second at all stages. Stage 2 is now 4 per second, stage 3 is 8 per second, and stage 4 is 12 per second. Sadly, they said they would address the disappearing princess and hat machine problem at a later time. I've had no trouble connecting to games so far, and the games feel much smoother. But I'm waiting until more people get the patch, because I never got into a full game. Only played with about 8 people and 24 bots, so we'll see...

WOW. Got into a game FAST on my first try. Everything is more stable. Lag is severely reduced online. WIN
