I thought it was ok. The beginning was boring imo and the gameplay felt repetitive. The fighting isn't that fun. Once you start using the grapple hook and stuff to stealthily take guys out it gets a little better, but nothing special imo. I think it will be an alright game but not great. Also, I hate the camera. The default camera is right over the shoulder and its really nauseating. When you run it zooms out, but you have to walk a lot of the time to be stealthy or observe things and whatnot and I couldn't stand it.
Never happens to me because I never buy a game solely on impulse. Reviews, gameplay videos, word of mouth, and trust in proven franchises and developers all factor in to my purchases.
Halo 3: ODST Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Borderlands Dragon Age Tekken 6 Forza 3 Modern Warfare 2 Left 4 Dead 2 Gran Turismo 5 (rumors it will come in december) MAG Borderlands, Dragon Age, and MAG are iffy because they are new franchises that have not proven themselves yet, so I'm not completely sure about them yet. Left 4 Dead 2 is also iffy because I never could bring myself to buy the first one (paying 60 dollars or even 30 dollars for a 2-3 hour campaign is just insane imo) but I did find the game fun, from what I plaed of it so I might get L4D2. Everything else I'm pretty much getting for sure.
Games on Demand is stupid IMO. Good idea, but Microsoft is pricing the first batch of games wayyy to high. Bioshock for 30 bucks? You could find it for 10-20 if not lower. Mass Effect for 20-30 (forgot if it was 20 or 30): you can get it for 15 or less. If Microsoft wants me to sacrifice a hard copy of a game to get a digital version, when I can install a hard copy anyways and always have the data physically in my possession, they'd better make the prices more competitive. But of course they won't. Anyways, all I'm looking forward to are the rumored decreases in install size for various games, general speed and reliability increases in the guide, and the awards system that gives your avatar cool stuff for getting achievements. No way am I ever paying for my avatar to wear 'premium' clothes, but I like the rewards idea.
Get it from buy.com. 50 dollars with free shipping, and you still get sergeant johnson. I'll never understand how people still pay 65 dollars for games at release. All it takes is a little internet searching and you will always find a newly released game for at least 10-15 bucks off. I have literally saved hundreds over the past year by shopping online and finding deals online. Just a helpful tip, don't mean to sound harsh, just want more people to be aware of how easy it is to save on games
GameSpot reviews suck, and have for a long time. The only reason I go on GameSpot now is for the forums. Fat Princess deserves at LEAST an 8.5. At the very least, if not a 9+. It's probably the best PSN exclusive I've played, except for maybe WipeOut HD. ...No scratch that, Fat Princess is better
Don't do prestige mode, just get to level 55 and own everyone. Also make sure you have Juggernaut on. I hear there are no respawns in real life so you gotta be prepared.
