This should probably clarify that this is a PC-only feature somewhere in article. Some may think it's obvious, like me, but simple clarity can avoid a lot of angry gamer comments.
This more more like an arbitrary list of some games with a photo mode. Ubisoft's photo modes are very basic, so AC Valhalla and FC6 being here are bonkers, especially when games like Shadow of the Colossus, Mad Max, No Man's Sky, and Umurangi Generation are missing. Seriously, how is Umurangi Generation missing from this list?
Look I know we're all very into Keanu, and I'm right there with ya... but this figure is kinda rough y'all. It's okay to say so. Keanu isn't hurt by it.
I don't know if a deaf hero, in this context, actually is a win for representationthough.
First off, It's not entirely clear that Dane is, in fact, the hero. The story, or whatever hot mess of linear motion is represented here in place of one, does not at all make that clear, and if anything hints at the opposite.
Second, as Marsh details in the interview, the way the player experiences the world and the story is 100% not accurate to how Dane or any deaf person experiences the world. Dane is shown clearly communicating and understanding the characters throughout the story, while the player has none of this information.
This isn't representation. I don't know what it is, but it's not that.
After what they did with that Ratchet and Clank ps4 game, I couldn't be happier to see Insomniac behind this. With Red Dead just a month later, this is going to be a great fall for games.
