WTF is Blu-ray Disc Profile 1.1?email2003
Its allows for PIP so you can view commentaries/storyboards/etc on screen while watching the movie. Its 1 of those things all the HD DVD people have been screaming about their players having that Blu-Ray couldn't do. Nice feature if they figure out something cool to do with it, otherwise, pretty useless for me.

i thought updates come out on thursday's ? WELL EITHER WAY THIS IS A GOOD UPDATEovadose85
Updates come out whenever they are ready, they're not tied to a specific day. The Playstation Store updates on Thursdays, but has nothing to do with firmware updates.

Without knowing more about MC, its hard to make an educated call, but since Burnout has done away with Crash mode, I'll have to give a preliminary nod to MC. Crash mode in Burnout was my favorite feature. Doing away with it was a huge mistake in my eyes. They lost a customer when they did that.

I would say it really depends on the TV and how old it is. I have a Sony SXRD which is a type of rear projection and have no problems at all. I could see issues with burn-in on a 20-year-old RPTV though. That would be all I could think of being a problem.

A USB hub can be used, just like what 360 people have to use. Just sucks that it isn't part of the package.

Mine finally came in yesterday (miraculously). I actually bought my PS3 at the end of Dec last year. I heard of a few people saying they sent in the paperwork anyway, even though they were outside the qualifying dates, and got them anyway. I decided to give it a shot back around the end of Sept. I never expected to see anything out of it, then I opened my mailbox yesterday and there they were :) Luckily I ordered my unit online and they still had the receipt on file so I could print it out :D

Its all a matter of opinion. If you're all about GH2 on Expert, you'll probably find Rock Band a little too easy. Rock Band takes the difficulty back to original GH level, but adds ALOT more. I love the drums, they were an awesome addition. For me, I will get ALOT more play time out of Rock Band because of the different instruments. Contrary to the other poster, I actually prefer the track list of Rock Band, especially the downloadable content that's out now (mainly because I'm a big Metallica fan).

Are you then running your audio through a surround sound receiver of some sort? I have read several threads in the GHIII board about people that had problems with the audio from their receiver being off and having to calibrate it from there instead.

[QUOTE="Prince_Denspion"]

[QUOTE="giantyankee7"]any stores i can buy em cheap at? i dont want to have to wait for it to arrive if i order off ebay? i am thinking 6 ft is a good size?alex33x

If you dont wanna wait you'l pay for it, cheapest I saw at BB was about 50 bucks, up to you if you have the money but they'll look the same as my .99 cent ones.

You have to think about quality too, the sony HDMI $99.99 its worlds apart in quality with the monster cable $149.99 you are paying for the quality here.

If you have a full HDTV you are going to notice the difference,I doubt there is a 99 cents HDMI cable but if there is its probably no better tha just using the AV cables that come with the PS3 already and playing on 420p.

That's an ignorant statement. Unless you're doing a long run (+20 ft), you will not see a difference in picture between a $150 Monster cable and the $6 cable from monoprice/amazon/newegg. HDMI is digital, and therefore either on or off, there is no picture quality difference because the cable is cheaper. What you're paying for with a Monster cable is for a name, the marketing, and the packaging. Do a little research next time before making such statements. Go ask anyone on the big videophile sites, they'll tell you for a 3'/6'/10' cable that you'd be crazy to pay the extra $100, and these are people that buy $10k projectors and $5k screens to aim them at.
