I don't have access to the PS Store. It's pretty ridiculous actually. My region doesn't have access... :evil:

Why not just create an account for another region and get their content?

Most Blu-Ray movies (except for some of the originals, but especially any of the new ones) ARE region coded. Only games are region free. My understanding is that regions are hard-coded into the system and there is no way to change it. That being said, you have 2 choices: 1. Sell your PS3 and buy a Euro version 2. Import your Blu-Ray movies Of the two, I would say a new PS3 is going to be cheaper if you plan to buy alot of movies, but you're pretty well boned either way.

It sounds like you're not getting the center channel audio. Don't know why that would be without seeing your setup. Check your setup in the XMB for audio and make sure your receiver is set to a surround option. Other than that, its going to be difficult for anyone here to diagnose.

Right on and well said cheese man. I think the picture on my Panasonic plasma is amazing next to my Sony LCD. Glad I did the proper research and have a well paying job.DontTazeMeBro1
okay, we get it, you have a nice paycheck. Last I checked, NOBODY CARES! I say LCD. If you ever move, you have to be very careful with a plasma, otherwise you can end up with a huge paper weight. My wife works for a trucking company who returns pallets upon pallets of (NEW) dead plasmas because they were shipped face down and not kept upright. Too many possible problems out weigh the slight increase in color/picture quality if you ask me.

Its all a matter of personal preference. If all you care about is the guitar parts, GHIII is probably the better bet. The GHIII tracks are more challenging. However, if you like the idea of the drums or singing, Rock Band has more bang for the buck (if you can get past the easier guitar parts). You can always do the Band Wold Tour part of Rock Band solo and have friends jump in when around. I haven't played either online, so I can't comment on that, but I have both and both are awesome in different ways. So, no one can really tell you which one would be best for you. Sometimes, we just have to make decisions for ourselves :)

IPTV is just a TV signal passed over a data network (like TV service from AT&T). No, its not free. You have to have a decoder box (just like digital TV).

[QUOTE="Lilass"][QUOTE="ParadiseAwaits"]

I gave up on the support updates and bought a VGA cable a long time ago.

Befriend someone who works for Best Buy or Circuit City. We get the $50 + VGA cable for $5 or $6. :)

americahellyeah

VGA cable ? whats that?

its an HD cable that deliver a digital signal instead of an analog signal like component.

Nope. VGA is still analog. You don't get digital until you move to DVI.

Its not business!!! You can't release a game that boasts four players and have no way to fully use it! That's like saying here's a car, but you can't put anyone's tires on it until January, when we release some tires for it. WTF! I got jipped over $250!!! They better fix this QUICK!Lord_Mango_Jr
Uhhh, there is a way to fully use it. Its called ONLINE! I would venture a guess that there are many more people that plan to play this game online than actually get a bunch of people together and cram into a living room to play.

The PS3 is currently the ONLY HDMI 1.3 device on the market, but unless the TV is brand new and top of the line, it won't support HDMI 1.3 anyway. Honestly, even if it did support it, it doesn't mean much because HDMI 1.3 only improved on previous revisions by adding support for HD sound like DTS-HD. Previous poster is correct though, a $6 cable from NewEgg/Monoprice/Amazon is all you need. Anything that has HDMI 1.3 slapped on it is just "certified" meaning they tested it with all the different sound processors. The cables are all pretty much the same. The difference in price comes in marketing and packaging.

I have GHIII already, but that was unplanned. I pre-ordered RB from Amazon (no tax, free shipping, delivered to my door, just have to wait a few extra days) the day they started taking them. I never pre-order from places like GameStop, but with Amazon, you don't pay a dime until it ships. So NOT pre-ordering somewhere like Amazon is kinda bone-headed, but not pre-ordering from GameStop is easily justifiable. All you have to do is have a little patience (referring to not getting it launch day) and you'll save yourself some $$.
