Its not that I suck.....but I am much better as a human.  I just cant stand playing as an alien.  I could play a custom game but I prefer ranked matches.

This game was a ton of fun online.  I have played it almost exclusively since I purchaced my PS3.  I always play ranked deathmatch and one of the reasons for that is that I like playing as a human.  I have never been a fan of aliens or sci-fi characters so having the ability to play a deathmatch solely as a human was outstanding.  Now RFOM gets an update out of the blue almost 4 months since it came out that changes all of that.  Now it is supposedly random selection where games will be Human vs Human or Chimera vs Chimera.  That being said its not even slightly random in that it seems like its 4 games of C vs C and the occasional H vs H game.  I am totally incenced because i cannot stand to play as those fools.  The game went from being something I looked forward to playing to an afterthought in one day.  Thank god there is a whole slew of games coming out in March.  I am officially done with this game online.  I am retiring as a Luitenant General.....Dishonorable discharge!

Not trying to hate but I believe in the ol' adage, "if it aint broke.....dont FIX it"!  Anyone else feel this way?

Chimera vs. Chimera and Human vs. Human is so goddamn stupid. It was fine before. Alternating teams was perfect.

Now its garbage.

I have owned EVERY Madden since it came out for the consoles that I owned. In fact, it got to a point where I would take off work just to get it at release and play it all day.  You would be hard pressed to find a bigger Madden fan.  That being said....this is the first year that I didnt get it.  I dont know what it was but your post was exactly correct.  The exclusive liscence for Madden has KILLED the series in my opinion.  If you would have told me 5 years ago that I would not get Madden for my new PS3, I would have told you that you were crazy.  It seems to me that the series just seems to come down to updated rosters every year.  Big deal....The hit stick was innovative and the passing thing they did last year sucked.  I have just got to the point where I had to take a break.  I will not be getting madden next year unless there are some serious changes or EA decides to step it up and only produce a game that should be no less than a 9.0 rating.

The funny thing is that I am a die hard PATS fan and after all those years of playing their crappy teams....I dont buy it when they are great (well I did buy it when they were great since they have been since 2000) you know what I mean....

go for the 25 dollar ones, you probably wont notice a difference between either and plus i really wouldn't trust madcatz over sony....bluewrxman

Its shunned because ITS NOT COMING OUT NEXT WEEK.  Gamespot is terrible with the release dates.  Everywhere else claims the fall.  I am stoked about it and I will definatly be getting it day one. 

OOH....for the last poster... Its great on the PC but i prefer a platform.  You need a topshelf PC to run it properly and you cant tell me that is not true.  My PC is great but just doesnt quite handle it as well as I would like.

imho 2K7 just is completly subpar in almost every aspect.  Sure NBA Live blew and the 2K7 version was better but its the NBA so who cares.  MLB 2K7 looks good but I will be getting the show instead.  I am just not all that impressed with the gameplay.  Even though I am not a fan of 2K7 I have to admit that its good for all of us that EA has competition.  Without that their titles do get a bit stale and they have been on a high horse of late.  I am all for competition....I am just not ready at this time to go the 2K7 route.
