This is what I am thinking.

Case:Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $100

HDD:SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive $55

Motherboard: MSI 790X-G45 AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard $100

CPU:AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W $100

GPU: Radeon HD 5750 1GB $140

Disk Drive:ASUS DVD-E818A6T/BLK/B/G Black 18X SATA DVD-ROM Drive - Bulk $17

PSU:CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply: $100

Keyboard:LITE-ON SK-1688U/B Black 104 Normal Keys USB Wired Standard Keyboard: $7

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

Total comes to $670 all from newegg. I do plan to get another video card in the future to use in crossfire. Do you think the 400W PSU is good enough for the setup as it is now? Any comments and critiques would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can run it on maxed out settings. If not maxed out, it'll probably be a mix of high and ultra settings.

Don't mind the resolution, you can change it.

Mograine

Umm I don't think he can max it out, in fact he will probably only be able to run it on low with a 9500gt. To answer your question op, I don't know why they downsized your resolution. They did it with mine too and I just changed it.

I posted this yesterday in the game section and now can't find it when I search for it. Anyway sorry if this is the wrong section but I thoght maybe it got deleted from the games section. So the problem is that the patch freezes whenever I download the game, Anyone know where I can download all the games patches with one download?..or have any advice on how I can get the game to install? Thanks.

When I try to download Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts the patch update always fails. Does any one know a good place where I can download all of the patches with one installation? Thanks.

Do you have to download a different patch for every game? Also where would be the best place to download it?..and is it illegal or no?

Well it depends how you customize it. The unupgraded rig isn't worth it...you would just be paying for the name imo. But you can upgrade those really well-at high cost of course. But overall alienware is a very good brand.
