I am in an interesting situation...I recently bought an HT Omega Claro Halo sound card to go with ATH A700s. The volume is out of control. At about 16% it is very loud. About 15 minutes ago I put the volume to 26% for just a second...it made my whole body clench up and my left ear is still hurting. I am afraid I am going to accidently increase the volume to too high of a number and blow out my ear drums. Honestly, I think it could do this at 35%...never mind 100%. Anyway, is anyone familiar with the software of this sound card? Is there any way to lower the volume scale? Or could I do this in Windows?
I have Windows 7 so that is the version of the software I installed for the sound card. Also, I have the amp set for high impedence and have the virtual 7.1 speaker mode turned on which increases the volume level (I want to keep this though since it seems to sound better).
This is also annoying because changes of 1% level of volume impact the sound level significantly.
I don't have overly sensitive ears either...
Thanks for any help.
