hmmmm...hard to say. i would maybe pick either MGS 2 (yeah three was awsome too but how many games try to explain the meaning of life?)

or maybe KOTOR, i didn't see that ending coming.

i think calling NG hard is inaccurate. it would be better to call most other games too easy. most other games just get cheap with harder difficulty's. the thing that i think made NG seem so hard was unlike most every other game even the very first enemy you fight in that game has the ability to destroy you if your not playing with a degree of skill.

it's like in the most recent Castlevania games. when you first start even a lowly skeleton takes a few hits to kill, but by the end of the game your taking down 4-5 of them with one well placed attack. now some of that comes from skill acquired while playing the game but most of it is do to the fact that your character gets stronger while the enemy's don't. even by the end of NG with all your new weapons and attacks that first ninja could still kill you in about 5-10 seconds if you don't play smart. and that helps keep the tension the whole way through weather your fighting 1 or 10 enemy's.

i say again, NG isn't harder then other games. it's smarter then most.

not sure if these count as taking over my life but i'm really looking forward to what Far Cry 2 is supposed to deliver on. also i would like to see the next Brothers in Arms sometime this year...haven't heard anything about it other then it's been pushed back to like fall/winter 08 or some such nonsense.

and yes..GTA 4 will be in my console for some time i'm sure.

i can see why so many developers use it. i mean wasn't unreal 2 one of the most used engines of last gen? (atleast on consoles) but personaly i would rather they make there own engines that are optimized to take advantage or their game. that's one reason i think some console games are showing so much promise ;MGs4, Killzone 2, REsistance 2. these games seem to be made to work on the PS3 and only the PS3 thus the need to write a game engine that is optimized to the specs of the Cell and RSX(?)

but with the multiple diffrent hardware configs on the PC side i see why they use it. so far U3 has had a decent track record on the PC and i only see it getting better as hardware gets better and developers get more savy with the engine.

p.s. i too would like to see valve make a new Source engine. maybe when HL3 comes out sometime in 2012? (that's only a guess)

Sony is just being a fire-crotch right now but will soon be going to rehab while psp and ps3 go stay with toshiba and pioneer until it gets better. Sony you're performance was sub-par, you used to be so slim and attractive but now you're just a fat greedy hog and you don't share any of your onion rings. so i got a check in the mail from microsoft for $139.90 as a refund for repairing my 360 back before they anounced the new 3 year warrenty. say's it has to be cashed before november i believe.

i guess my question is has anyone else got one of these? don't wanna look like a dumbass trying to put it in my bank account when it's more like a notice to GET my check before november. is it legit? can i just endorse it and get cash money for it?

if your gonna complain about WW2 shooters why not complain about FPS's in general? sure there may be a lot of FPS that use the WW2 background for a setting but a whole lot more use some sorta "sci-fi" element. how come no one is complainging about Halo 3 having lotsa shiny metal and red a blue plasma blasts? haven't we been seeing games like this since the NES?

now i'm not ragging on either WW2 shooters or sci-fi shooters. in fact i buy/rent just about ever FPS 3rd person shooter i can afford (i'm a human with a geneticly pre disposed blood lust, i deal with it) but i'm more ragging on people complainging about a particlar genre, or for that matter a sub-genre.

if you wanna complaing about Hour of Victory being a horrible game (or any other WW2 shooter) then by all means do so. but complaing about it's substance not it's style.

people aren't really in a tizzy about CoD4 being a modern military shooter. don't we already have like...50 or so of these?

i'm gunna go ahead and make an assumtion from the topic creators avatar and sig that she is a female so this "complaint" may be something she has exp. when ever my girlfriend and i played Halo 2 together , or her by herself for that matter, the game would almost stop as soon as the other playes found out that a girl was playing. i don't know how many time i've heard people ask her about being a female that plays a game.

i know that XBL has a community aspect to it and some people may start great long lasting relationships with people they meet online while playing a game but do people really need to hit on every girl that is playing a game? sometimes every person that had played a match with her/us would send a friend invite.

i don't know, just seems to me it's the wrong place to try and meet a girl. lets just play the game...
