@robbehG: Sadly the most amount of negativity comes from the fact it's a PC exclusive. If it was announced for the 2 major consoles you would be surprised about the sudden excitement from the same people that keep trashing it. Believe me.

@emptycow718: I don't care which console has more or the best exclusives, bro.

@usaoligarchy: "MS is a software company and having a closed system doesn't sever their best interest". By your logic it would be easier for them to have never launched a console themselves and just made software for the one console that would be dominating the market, the PS. They would be selling a lot more software.

"They've never sold hardware so fast and never have made so much money." Well they could be selling a lot more if Sony wasn't kicking their asses. Everyone and their momma know they are not happy about Xbone's sales

"PC is already on the way out with quantum computing." Personal computers are gonna exist one way or another and companies are still going to make games for them. Specially because there is a big target audience that seeks the very best hardware.

@Faye_Tallity: Exclusives are needed for competition and that is healthy for the industry. How do you suppose people are gonna choose consoles? By the prettiest one?

And PC is never going away. Sorry.

From what I picked from the video, BotW is good because it doesn't hold your hand and let you experience and interact with a more immersive world by your own terms. Open world games got so cluttered with navpoints we end up following routes and fetch quests like a robot.

So this new game is probably great, but only revolutionary for a Zelda game. I think it is more a return to form because Ultima and Elder Scrolls games (before Oblivion) all did this with obviously less technology.

@phili878: Lol at bashing this game's graphics.... the game was made with hand painted 2D graphics because it's goal is to feel like an old infinity engine RPG. That's why it had to be a kickstarter project, it costs to much for how it looks and no one who backed up the project would want any other way. In other words, it was deliberately designed to look like a game from an older time.

Zelda on the other hand is the game that should showcase the power of the newest hardware on the street yet it runs under 30fps with low polygons. Nothing wrong with going for a budget solution but in 2017 that's underwhelming.

Apples and oranges.

Of course it did, nobody had a Switch. It's even more impressive Zelda made it to second place when you have to dish out $300 as well as the game price.

@snaketus: I believe scores are given based off how a game performs in a specific platform. At least they should.

Not hating on the game but I doubt it would get a 10 running at 30fps on a PC or PS4.
