Sup homies,

So I have this brand new bike - my second bike ever! The first one was a cheap chinese bike that I used to learn to drive and stuff but now I have a rather good and somewhat expensive bike but ummm my bike knowledge is limited to:

1. checking tire pressure

2.checking break fluid

3.chancing engine oil

4.checking battery fluid

and filling the tank with gas.

What else should i periodically look into? A pal of mine drove my bike and said that the chain was far to loose but I dont even know. Should I just sell my bike and go back to taking the train 0_o

Cheers !

Good Day! Im looking into building a new rig and now I have another choice to make. How much RAM? On my last rig, I used 3GB of RAM and back in those days that was plenty. Now PCs are using a whole lot more.

Im tempted to use 4GB to save some money but is that enough? Or should I compromise a bit and go for 6? Or futureproof and go for 8?

I plan on using DDR3 for an i7 950at 1066Mhz

Wow! Thanks alot. It seems obvious that the i7 is the right choice. It would appear that the extra 2 cores dont really help at all. And I guess they become even more useless in gaming seeing as how no games use 6 cores. Thanks everyone!

Seeing as how AMD gives me 6 cores for $270 I would like to keep it at that range with some head room. The intel equivelant of the above CPU would be this one. Roughly the same price and from what I understand, the I7 is better than its AMD counterpart.

Hello everyone! Im looking into buying a new rig. I have roughly $350 for the CPU, but I seem to have hit a fork on the road.

I can get 4 cores, but for a few more bucks I can get 6 cores!! I mean the more cores the better right? Then again, are games using more than 4 cores though? So would itbe worth it?

Im currently trying to play Dragon Age Origins, and man is it a great game. I have an issue though, everything runs great at max settings but during cutscenes I get major sound lag. Some dude screams and I get the sound 30-35 seconds later. Its really anoying. I read somewhere that getting a dedicated card for the sound might fix this seeing as I have integrated sound : Realtek AC97. I have a Creativ Sound Blaster 5.1 24 Bit sin some box somewhere so would that fix my problem??

My system:

Pentium D 2.8 (overclocked to 3.0)

3 GB DDR2

ATI HD4850

SATA Raptor at 7200 RPM

CPU Pentium D 3.0Ghz

3GB DDR2-266 running at 215

Since my CPU is already bottlenecking the GPU wouldnt it be pointless to OC?

Ok so:

Since my graphics card is so powerful and my CPU is so crappy I should run the games at higher resolutions to use even more of my GPU´s power since my CPU isnt letting my GPU run at full power? (My CPU is bottlenecking my GPU)
