games like far cry 3 promote drug use, but since drug use is already illegal, and supported by the leftist politicians (who want to undermine traditional american values), it will not be brought up as something to be stamped out unless it also includes the destruction of freedom of speech. this will happen when they decide the drug use in games (and many other forms of mass media) has accomplished it's goal in causing young children, and teens to like the idea of using drugs and also approve of it enough to be legalized.

this is true because once the drug use is at an epidemic rate, the same leftist who created the crisis will then (at that time) offer the solution to the crisis which they have created, and the misguided masses will unwittingly agree with their plan legalize drugs because the solution offered to them seems logical for they have been brainwashed (by the same leftist) to accept it as legitimate.

@deathblow3 it's interesting to note that the pictures the news shows kept showing (of the murderer) where those of him when he was a teenage / child.

so when i hear about a senator saying that there needs to be a study on children (after seeing the pictures of the man as a child on tv) ithink to myself that this whole thing was pre-planned this.

they're creating total anarchy that strikes fear and terror into the hearts and minds of america so as to mislead americans for the "solution" they have planned for the very trouble they have caused.

@Scarab83 ahh yes, the tin foil hat defense.

the last line of defense of the one who has no answer to the truth being presented, an easy way to try and change the subject while making the rational person look crazy.

nice try, though.

@david1230 i would have to agree, but even though this is true, if they were to outlaw violence in movies it would just be done because someone in the government wants to take away the right to freedom of expression, and the right to freedom of speech.

i'm not defending the people who make those movies, and tv shows - quite hte opposite. i'm saying i think they (secretly) work hand in hand with the politicians to create a mirage of a crisis that only the politicians appear to be able to solve by talking away our rights, and that is always how it is with "those people."

@PyromaniacB4377 see. the reason i liked this post was that if you take away guns, people will just find a way to just as much or more damage another way because they're bent on doing it.

the problem lies within the person him or her self, not with guns.

@obsequies yea, i definitely believe it.

it seems the laws actually end up doing the opposite of what they were (supposedly) intended to do, and instead they target, and punish law abiding citizens, while at the same time empower the criminals, who won't follow laws no matter how many laws are made.

@david1230 they can own a m16 because they feel like it, it's personal preference.

maybe it's a hobby, maybe they like m16s, maybe they collect guns, maybe they want something with a lot of stopping power, maybe they had one while in the military and are good with that particular gun and don't feel then need to try a different type of gun. whatever the reason they choose - whether it's a m16, an m4, a 9mm, a .45 acp, a rifle for hunting, a shotgun for home defense and hunting etc... is irrelevant. the bottom line is that it is their right to own a gun for whatever reason they so chose, and no one else has the right to dictate to others what their rights are or aren't when it's already a right.

@cboye18 they are shooters, and they sell tens of millionsof copies (compared to hundreds of thousands of the other genres) because that's what the consumer demands.
