i somehow doubt this but is there anyone using a quad with a stock heatsink/fan? i would like to know what temps your getting at idle because mine range from 51C to 60C at idle.. I'm either considering a different thermal solution or i'll just re-seat the hs/f after a bathe it with a healthy dose of thermal paste..=P

using a q9450

it's a mistake to take anything these charts provide at any face value since much of it is wrong anyways.

i love this game.. 12 gauge pump for me.. and the physics are top notch, still something unseen on consoles but like alot of games in this genre, they're limited to being just what they are. FPS.. with this said, as a FPS, excellent is every way if you have the rig for it.

XD.. what kinda sick joke is this? ...then we're secretly setting up our accounts on it.. Just like lemmings praising everything 360 while their PS3's are overheating with a copy of MGS4 spinning away inside the drive. Cows bragging about their PS3's but secretly sending ppl their Wii mac address..

i think GS doesn't have the b---- to give anything else GOTY.. They're going to back out and save face by giving it MGS4. To say that Gears2 or LBP are 8's and 9's is going out on a limb. If you look around, there has been anything quite revolutionary in terms of game play yet with the exception of wii-fit. If I were making a bet, it'll be MGS4 this year.

a $350 pc will run solitaire pretty good.. i'd like to see it run crysis, or even a 360-to-pc port like mass effect. Nowadays, a good video card is half the price of $350 and you'll be hugging the baseline if the card is in the geforce 6 series but it'll still run. your proc is probably some AMD leftovers of when the x2 was running games. Better yet, get your specs and post them up on here. what you can do in the mean time is get your hands on a 360 port, install it on the PC and see how it runs..

have you guys ever considered the cost of making games?? R&D isn't free.. there are alot of factors that contribute to the cost of games. grantng ps3' expanding install base, devs need to sell x amount of copies to even break even with their r&d dollars.. we're taking paying programmers and other personel, facilities, publishing, packaging, etc. if they don't sell that many copies on account of bad reviews ala 'kane and lynch', these devs have to swallow the costs. it's a risky business. the PS3 on the other hand, it's easy for us to say "programmers are lazy, they're not learning the system".. smaller companies just don't have money to put extensive work into the architecture.. Why relearn how to make the wheel when current tools can not only do it quickly but afford them the time to do it even better? the PS3 pays off tremendously once it's been learned.. Konami has extensive resource and had the time to develop the game. they didn't even add all the graphical polish to it until they (or should i say kojima) felt the game was ready. remember, in this industry, a company is only as good as its best game. when that game hasn't formulated, they have to find niches, segments of the market to advertise their product to. haze appealed to the hardcore, fps fans and look at what's heppened. don't even think they broke even on this. Lair, another potentially good title that may have cost the dev a few million. Ppl don't think about this.

MGS4 is nothing more than a digital movie to me. thanks but no thanks.. I've never taken sides in these idiotic arguements where ppl feel so compelled to regurgitate crap and decides to post that steamy pile of gunk in the threads. GOW2 is going to kick @$$ when it's released. if you don't like it, then don't buy the game, go burn a pile of 360's, i don't care but use some type of logic when you post this crap. Fanboy rationale- "GOW2 is gonna suck because I've never played it and the graphics already look dated- oh, it just sucks because it's on 360"...
