whew!~ i was worried for a sec there.. I can't believe that whenever it comes to a upgrade/build, i'm instantly transformed into some novice who can't tell the difference between the mobo and a memory dimm.

one question though.. the lga775 socket cpu-cover, is it suppose to require a little bit of force to lock the lever into place under the tab? ...the proc wasn't cheap.. =P.. I love the pin-less design..

good idea, i'll look into that after my pockets recover a little bit.. that d--- proc, if it only didn't carry the intel price tag but for 1ghz overclock, i shouldn't complain too much.

Rig... finally picked up the ;ast part for my upgrade

P5N-D

Q9450

2X88oogt's

4X1gb Centon 1066 (BC 8ooMghz)

the rest is average stuff but upgrading to a cheetah hdd (size depending on the needs)

getting internal Bluray drive but it's the least important right now.

Has anyone had any problems out of a q9450/P5N-d combo?

Hermits really need to be careful about claiming graphical superiority over consoles and what not. Why?

Let's look at last generation, what was the best looking game? it was Conker: Live and Reloaded. Don't believe me?

yea, that game still holds up to this day very nicely actually.

So what am I saying? Don't get cocky hermits. You might be eating them sooner than you think. Seriously, be careful, especially considering you guys think consoles can't do anything. Last generation you were wrong. Who's to say you're right this time?

one thing you might want to consider checking.. some mb's PCI express slot is 16x.. the fine print is that it's only 16x with one card. when you sli two cards together, it might have switched back to 8x for both slots, which is why i'm changing my MB..

once a dedicated amd fan, i've finally sold-out and picked up an intel c2d q9450 due to ease of over-clocking and performance. I'm switch from a phenom 9500.. Intel fanboys, what motherboard should i get for this?
