@kbigjohnson: agreed, I don't know what the hell they were thinking. They can make the excuse "two different crowds" but it really doesn't carry much weight. When it comes down to it, both are FPS games with a lot of focus on MP.

Or you can grab it for $23.99 on PSN. Something I found out after I'd already grabbed it from Wal-Mart for 25 bucks. I was very hesitant toward this game, but I definitely think I got my money's worth. Campaign has been a lot of fun and the MP is far more enjoyable than what I expected. MP is kind of rough since I'm still learning, but fun none the less.

Taking it back to its roots MIGHT help. Really though; when you give a game a yearly lifecycle, more and more people are going to give less sh*ts. This is nothing new, how Activision refuses to accept that truth is baffling.

@skrilla99: I'm in the same boat. I'm really teetering on how I feel about this game. If I can't give it a try before it comes out, then I'll just save my money for something else.

@xcrimsonxsynx: I'm not just talking about family members within my household. I'm talking about friends who want to borrow a game. Installing the disc and playing the base game isn't a huge deal. I also have a big problem with always online as well. I have to attend schools and classes who have policies that don't allow consoles to be connected to the internet. That's a month at a time I can't play a game that is always online. Not to mention you still have your areas out there with poor or no internet at all. It would be a shi**y move to alienate those people. While it might be a losing battle for gamers who don't want to change with the times, the industry better hope new gamers pick up and spend money where they're losing money from those who resist this. I know several in my small demographic who won't do all digital/always online. If such an attitude is consistent through the gaming population, that's a fair amount of business potentially lost.

This gets Xbox exactly where they wanted to be when the Xbox one was first coming out. Your console will have to be online and you won't be able to trade in games or borrow games from one another. For those of you who don't understand why people still like physical media, I'll give you an example. The other day I got Evolve for nine dollars used. If I would've bought it digitally, that would've cost me $30. Oh sure I could've waited on a digital sale, but even if I would've waited and I didn't like the game there's no way for me to trade it in or get a refund. I don't see how going all digital is truly consumer friendly.

@WarFox89: I have to go to schools and different types of classes for my job. Almost all of these places do not allow me to connect my console to the internet. That means with a game like this, that's easily a month at a time I can't play it. So it does make a huge difference for many people.

@jayskoon93: Ever get kicked out of a game your playing randomly with an error message? That's happened to me quite a bit and with these random updates I can honestly say it has occurred less frequently with me. Whether it's actually helping or just coincidence, who knows? Just something I've noticed.

"Despite what some thought, the game was still massively successful". Yes, because people were excited to jump back into Battlefront, but to their dismay, this game was not at all what they expected. You can site numbers all you want, but you have to look at the numbers that still play it. A majority of people rushed out, bought the game, played it, and shelved it shortly after. Unless there are some real big changes acknowledged, I have a feeling the sequal will see a big drop in sales right off the bat.
