@malokevi @camverge Noooooo, I feel for 500 bucks, I'm not renting the console, I OWN it. Plenty of people who have you know... bills and families think these things through. I'm not just "looking for things to complain about" I think things through instead of being latched on to Microsoft's tit.
@malokevi @camverge Too far in the future to possibly care? If I'm forking over 500 bucks, even 300 bucks, I want to know I can go back and play that whenever I like. That way if I had a "ball with my xbox one" I can go back and do it again, instead of staring at it or re-buying the games yet again for the next console. Yeah, just fork over your money... good call.
@malokevi @camverge So let me ask you this, when this next xbox is out dated, thee next xbox comes out, and their servers no longer support the xbox one... then what? If you can no longer check in on a daily basis to play your console, what then? You got yourself a fancy paperweight? Plus, I know plenty of people who aren't online, it comes with being from a rural area, and Microsoft doing this to those people is the same as spitting in their face.
@malokevi @camverge Well as a gamer, I feel a hell of a lot better with what they have to offer. As for them being a part of the beast I also remember them coming out and saying "you can play your used games", "you don't always have to be online".
So I know this might be stupid for me thinking this far in the future, but what happens when the next generation of consoles comes out and XBOX 1 is a thing of the past? What happens when their servers are no longer there to support a "dated console" and you can't "check in" once a day. Do you just have a giant ugly looking black paperweight at that point?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not planning on buying this damn thing anyway, but why would you buy something that potentially has no future once it's no longer the current generation of gaming?
@Ghost_702 Aside from that, I didn't hear any mention in how that "used game fee" is going to be distributed to the developers of that certain game. Is Microsoft going to charge you the money and then give a percentage of that money over to the developer so they don't lose money in used games? Unlikely.
