@shuttle_cock: You’re old fashioned, but in this case, I’m with you. I want to own my entertainment. I don’t want my game purchases unplayable when a console is no longer supported.

@spartanx169x: I’d also like to add, with the PS4,5, or 6 I can use my current internet plan that has a cap but is not ridiculously expensive. Meanwhile the Stadia would chew through my data cap requiring a pretty hefty internet bill every month.

If it’s still so far away, I don’t care about any news on it. I also don’t know if I care after EA announces their absolute stance on live services; only time will tell. Hence, save your news for when the product is closer to being ready and you know exactly what you’re releasing.

@cejay0813: You’re right, it really is not as brutal as I remember it being. I started realism mode last night and I’ve been playing for 8 hours or so and I just got to the ‘Going Dark’ mission. I guess if you’re just damn good, maybe you can make it through on realism in 5 hours? I haven’t beat the game before this, so I don’t even know how close I am to finishing.

I have a real hard time believing someone could get through normal difficulty in the same amount of time as realistic difficulty.

@R34Vegeta: it’s a lot more of the same. While some say it’s better, I myself as well as my friends who put a lot of time in the 1st disagree. You spend almost as much time rummaging through your newly acquired gear as you do playing the game and as a solo player (I did a lot of solo) deaths feel cheap. Almost every time I’d die it’s because I’d be holding down an area and enemies would spawn and come through doors behind you that aren’t even accessible to you.

It’s one thing to be out maneuvered or flanked (which the AI is pretty good about doing), but the cheap tactics just became abundantly annoying especially when you’d lose progress in the no Respawn zones.

@magneisuemwinterjuice: Or they just don’t like the character in general? Was there this big of an uproar for Horizon Zero Dawn or Uncharted: The Lost Legacy? Maybe it’s because Ms. Marvel isn’t the first thing you think of when you hear “The Avengers”?

No doubt there are those who hate just because it’s a woman, but don’t generalize over everything.

@thomaswmak: I think the problem is people want skins that are priced reasonably. They also do the bs where you have to buy premium currency packs (one pack that’s not enough to buy an item and another pack that’s more than what you need for an item) instead of just being able to buy an item outright.

You’re absolutely right, the company needs a way to make money. It just feels like maybe this wasn’t the greatest way to do it. The fact that it cost so much money to even be eligible to “unlock” or pay for the crowning item in the recent event is a tad ridiculous.

Either way, developers and the free to play community need to be able to come to a better understanding.

@Barighm: The thing that is kind of aggravating is the whole “glorified” angle. It’s there, yea, but is it glorified because it’s there? If that’s glorified then violence in general is extremely glorified, not just chainsawing someone, but violence in general. I think you’re absolutely right though, if a kid decides he/she wants to smoke because of one character in a video game, there’s some issues outside of the game.

A game with some of the most violent methods of murder, but at least no one smokes.... good grief.

Just because someone smokes in a game, is it really glamorizing it?
