Why? It's still 2008. MS doesn't really like to release much about games that are so far away.Baird-06

Exactly. Although that's kind of off-putting when deciding on buying a console. PS3 games might be revealed too early but at least you know they are coming.

I would prefer to know way in advance than be kept in the dark than simply assume good games will come out

Halo 3: Recon
Alan Wake
Mass Effect 2 maybe, might be multi-plat
Splinter Cell Conviction maybe
Bioshock 2 maybe, might be multi-plat

By multi-plat i'm talking about PS3 not PC.

I'm getting a PC for Alan Wake anyway so i'll be able to play most of those thankfully, Alan Wake FTW big time.

Halo 3: Recon (Fair enough)

Alan Wake (Non-exclusive (PC))

Mass Effect (Probably non exclusive (PC))

Splinter Cell (Non exclusive (PC))

Bioshock (Non exclusive (PC and PS3))

Forza 3 definitely and thats a shame for PS3 owners to see. You can put Star Ocean 4 in that group...

Mass Effect, Bioshock and Splinter Cell will be on PC also

Agreed but that doesnt mean everyone owns a PC that can play these games. To assume that it isnt an advantage for 360 over the PS3 is not taking into account the facts. More people own only 1 system, not a PC and a PS3, that assumption means people are spending 1500 for gaming. It doesnt add up, and never will. I hate this rule more and more. Amendment needed.

That's not the point. The point is is that these games are NOT exclusive (or most likely wont be). Regardless of whether or not people also have a gaming PC (in my case, I do have a gaming PC) or whether not many peope do, these games are still not exclusive and are therfore a major factor in console decisions for people like myself

So you are saying.. since LBP is coming out on the psp it is not an exclusive ?

Well you 'could' technically say that although people dont generally compare handheld games to console/PC games. Plus the PSP and PS3 kinda go hand in hand and they are both SONY and exclusive to said.

You mis understand me thinks, Games for windows would be Microsoft then would it not ? :P

lol i see what you mean. you got me. In that case, yes LBP can be seen as multi plat. Although, I still believe that handhelds and console/PC are considered completely different. Plus there arent many console and handheld multiplats and if they are, they clearly wont be exactly the same whereas console to PC multiplats are pretty much exactly the same

[QUOTE="cbear68"][QUOTE="heretrix"][QUOTE="cbear68"]

[QUOTE="heretrix"]I've got plenty to play in 2008. I don't know why people worry about this crap. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to have the time to play the games coming out THIS MONTH.FirstDiscovery

I'm worried because buying a console is a fairly big deal and can be seen as an investment. If a console has good games coming out now but not in the future then it would be a bit silly to purchase it. PS3 has a great future lineup and seeing as you would be playing you're console for years to come, I believe future line ups are important

Dude, the 360 has a massive game library. THere is no shortage of games to play. Also there is XBLA which people always overlook. That's a pretty weak argument. If you want a PS3, buy one, but don't give yourself silly excuses not to get a 360. It's a complete waste of everybody's time if you don't want one in the first place.

I know there are no shortage, heck, I have a 360 atm although it has the RROD and out of warranty so I am now deciding between an Elite or a PS3. It just seems Xbox only has a few decent exclusives. The Halo franchise (which will all be the same), Gears (which will probably come to PC), Forza (PS3 has GT5) and others that arent quite as big seem to be the only reason for buying an Xbox.

The PS3 has Killzone (exclusive), Resistance (exclusive), LBP (Exclusive), HOME (which I am actually looking forward to) and alot more great games that i cant remember from other topics.

If you have a gaming PC like me then it seems a bit pointless to have an Xbox aswell. 2 weeks ago I would have agreed with you although now being back to square one, it actually seems like the PS3 is better. PLUS i have a PSP so the linkage bewteen the two would be good.

Just buy an Arcade, youll get two games and you can use your HDD on it.

Yeah, I have a fair bit of moola so I might get an Arcade and then a PS3 in a few months when (hopefully) the price comes down.

How could it possibly be out of warranty if it is RROD? It's a three year warranty that covers RROD from the date of purchase. The Xbox 360 was released in November 2005. It's October 2008 now. Assuming you were one of the first to buy the Xbox 360 when it launched, you are still covered and can get it repaired free of charge.

lol yeah i know although I removed the warranty sticker b4 i found out about that. Plus isnt that only in America?

What warranty sticker? You mean the one that, if ruptured, indicates that you opened up your Xbox 360 console? Why would you remove that?

And the warranty applies world-wide.

I removed it because I didnt realise they had expanded it to three years and I therefore attempted to fix it myself....to no avail unfortunately.

Yes. Buy a PS3. When you talk about 2 of the biggest gmes of ths generation, as if they are nothing, then there's no point in anyone trying to give you examples of the ton of other 360 exclusives that it has. So buy it and be happy. In the mean time stop trying to act like you actually want a 360, There's no shortage of reasons to own one by now. siriusg

The reasons why I am still looking to get an Xbox are for the fact that I already owned one so i have a whole heaping helping of games for it, friends on live, accessories etc. Plus the fact that its cheaper, and that the majority of ppl on this webiste seem to think the Xbox is better
