And EA can't be any worst than any other company out there, this move obviously shows that they have good intentions, and besides, if you wanna' talk about dumbing down games look at Ubisoft and Capcom
Good point but so far the only gaming company that stepped up and said something on the issue is EA....no one else bothered to say anything to defend our side, but EA stepped up so I think they deserve the credit
To all the pple who blatantly blame EA. Have you ever considered the fact that Bioware screwed themselves over? At the end of the day Bioware are the ones who created Mass Effect 3 and it's ending, and they also created Dragon Age 2, both were pretty okay games in their own right but at least they owned up to them.
Personally the EA hate is way too much. So what if they produce games with overpriced DLC or they churn out games in one year? I'm willing to bet that half of you who complain about EA still buy their products no matter what.
And it's impossible for ANYONE to ruin someone else's creativity. That's a weak-ass excuse that alot of developers hide behind when they know for a fact that they effed up. I personally don't find EA at fault with Bioware's setbacks....if anything I blame the fans. As far as I can tell the fans of Bioware bitch harder than any other videogame fanbase out here.

I am flabbergasted, why aren't the prominent pple in the industry taking a f***ing stand and speaking up to help combat this issue?! Back during 80's-90's when pple were demonizing music, influential and famous music artists took a stand and fought for the pple who loved music... Why isn't anyone fighting for us gamers?
Although I don't usually like his articles, he asks a pretty valid question.
Why doesn't Nintendo mix it up a bit? Now, I will be honest, I only support their handheld's and that's only because of Pokemon..but that's the thing, one of the points of the article is that most pple only bother with Nintendo for their original, old-timey IPs (Mario, DK, Kirby, Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon, etc.) or casuals who rarely play consoles, or moms who wants to get a cheap system for their kids.
NO ONE is bashing Nintendo, and as a matter of fact Xbox and PS are guilty of some of the same things Nintendo does, the BIG difference is that Xbox and PS has a bigger variety of games other than their IP's. You CAN'T say that almost every game on Xbox is saturated with Halo and Gears of War and that PS is overrun with various 10 spin-offs of Uncharted and God of War.
All Tom is saying is that Nintendo needs to open their gates a little bit more. They're in the next gen, and soon Xbox and PS will be following after and their are expected to come in strong, and it's waaaaaaayyyy to late in the game for Nintendo to be pulling the same tricks.
