@VampireLord123 More to the point, being a launch title, they had to focus on aspects that would show off the console, e.g visuals. They don't have a lot of time to hone stuff like they will on Forza 6 for example.
Night time and weather is again missed, and would improve it to no end in my opinion. I believe this will come in 6 though, as will more tracks.
The tracks took longer to make simply because they use a new technique to do so.
Imagine right a console came out now with the power of a top of the range PC. For example a top i7 with the new AMD RX270 (or whatever it is).
Given the fact developers can optimise for the hardware, and just that one card and CPU, you can bet that within a year or two, games for that one console would far outweigh what a PC can do with the same hardware with an exclusive title. It is just the way it is. PC developers cannot optimise as well as if something is made specifically for one box.
Especially if it was forced to run at 1080p on a TV
@blackace @cf_Kage I wasn't dissing consoles. Naturally, I'll probably end up with both the new Xbox One and PS4. My PC needs an upgrade. It is still running off an 8800GTS 512, so it shows how much I actually game on it. I only tend to play rythmn games nowadays.
I was saying that 1080p gaming isn't all that anymore, and someone if they could have a 2k or even 4k display if it could output would perform better in the game?:p
Sony is just having a stab at Microsoft. The Xbox One isn't all that bad. It just hasn't been optimised for, for release titles. The PS4 has the edge to throw code on, and it'll handle it. The Xbox One will just need some more work time to get it up to speed.
Developers have lost how to optimise code, with faster and faster systems.
I love consoles for the fact that you have a system. It works. It plays every game as intended by the developer. Exclusives look great because the developer has had time, and just that one set of hardware to work for. PS3 exclusives like Uncharted, and Last Of Us still look amazing given how old the hardware is. They can be pushed to their limits because of the developers tune with the hardware.
You cannot get that sort of thing with a PC. That is one type of optimisation PC gamers lose out on.
@sammoth @berzerk0912 The new GS player, though it streams at 60fps, every 6 or so seconds, it stutters for a second or so and carries on as normal. My internet is fast enough however, at 20mb
