I reckon 3D has a better chance in the gaming world than in the film world. I think for example here in the UK, 25FPS is far too slow of a frame rate for 3D to be realistic. You notice the jerks in frames and in fast motion a lot more, because of the added depth. In games, this could easily change if games were pushing 3D out at 60fps for example. It'd appear a lot smoother to the eye
