@csward The only reason the PS3 is so powerful is due to the Cell processor. The actual graphics chip is worse off than the one in the Xbox 360.If the Wii U can power most if not all games at 1080p when it launches, it is more powerful than the Xbox 360 and PS3 graphics chip anyway, and no doubt it will be tech wise. The only thing that could potentially hold it back will be the processor it uses.
I think given the power of the new Wii U, the graphics on this will be pretty breathtaking to say the least. Full HD? Most games now on consoles use 720P and upconvert. Now how powerful is the new Wii U? Eh? Eh? :p
@demonkingx5 True, the tech will be better in a lot of ways, especially in terms of chip design. The revisions will be newer.Still can't say how powerful it really will be can we? If it wasn't at least on par with the current gen consoles, I would be very surprised
Grid got me excited about the racing genre for the first time in a while, so I am looking forward to this.
The only issue I have with these kinds of racing games are the length. I never truly finish them if that is even possible. I didn't get on the last game for example, the co-driver stuff. I didn't feel that was needed.
I stopped playing Forza 4 after a while too because of the length. I tend to find I don't get a feeling of accomplishment from them.
Arcade racers I generally finish as they have a set number of levels, etc and you finish the game, i.e Burnout Revenge, etc.
I'm afraid if they want to go after core gamers, they are interested i tech specs. They want to know a system will perform. He didn't say it wasn't better then the XBox 360 and PS3. He said that the hardware would do the talking. Not the general specs, so wasn't going to say off hand that it was
