@jasmitsaini But if they have gone for a lower price point again, to fit it into most family homes, like they did with the Wii, it won't harvest as much power as it otherwise could have done.I do honestly believe the Wii U will output most ported games at 1080P, unlike the Xbox 360 and PS3 which forces most games to upscale at 720P, but all this will change when the next ones release, and its a real shame.
This is probably what has ruined the Wii U before its even come out.Why should it come at a low price compared to for example the next Xbox, or PS console, if its got to compete with them when they arrive? There is no point Nintendo playing catch up again, offering something that just won't keep up... Yet, it seems like it won't. It'll be another Wii again, but in next generation attire, which is what caused 3rd party publishers to ignore the Wii in the first place.
I'd personally rather have a more capable console...The console is going to last you 10 or so years, or at least should of the product life cycle. No point skimping on that, considering how fast technology ages.
Okay, but I don't think every game should be promoting sex either, and Kara, even if it was a tech demo, was basically built to be a sex bot *facepalm*
"The official sales charts only include physical sales, however, as digital downloads are not tracked as part of the main chart."They want people to download games more, but yet, don't use them to quote how many have sold. That seems a bit backwards, considering a lot of people that play Diablo 3 would have already pre-downloaded it for the beta...
@s_h_a_d_o Do note Unreal 4.0 powers a lot more than just the graphics engine. It powers the entire game, and makes games easier to make, freeing up development time for what actually matters. They should be able to make a fantastic looking game with far less effort than in this generation from what I've read. Plus with extra power comes better A.I and all that jazz
@sangzeel You like your girls all angular looking? :p I have to say I actually prefer the new look, and is a lot more attractive, especially if this one won't be played by Angelina Jolie
@Grovilis It's not like the Unreal 4.0 engine won't run on PC. Its scalable... That is the entire point of a great engine. I'm just hoping on the new consoles, it won't have to be scaled down all that much compared to PC hardware. It'll be a real embarrasement in my opinion if on the new consoles, they have to scale it down to medium/low settings
I'm looking forward to Tomb Raider actually, if it proves to be anything like Uncharted in quality, which is what I'm pinning the game on.
As for consoles; I do think graphics matter. I'm glad he is pushing the developers to make the consoles better. They are going to be with us for a very long time, and the more power they have under the hood, the less thye'll push games back technologically.
Games are the most important thing, and you can't of course have great graphics without having a good balance in everything else, but I'm just thinking into the future.
We need more powerful hardware.
As for Unreal 4 being more than about graphical abilities, yes, it is. It has a lot of new features which will make making games a whole lot easier for development houses.
New and better coding methods, and also, BECAUSE of better graphics, less light baking which speeds up development time.
