I don't get the point of this thread; to demonstrate diminishing returns or something?

God damn Ethan Carter! That's some crazy shit! Unreal Engine showing itself to be a champ yet again! It's like walking around in a painting.
And quit bitching about DS2. The game was fine, and while it lacked some of what Dark Souls 1 had (DS had a better, Metroidvania level design), it made up for it in other areas (sensible bonfires locations and good performance).
I enjoyed Dark Souls II but there was nothing sensible about the bonfire locations, unless you think a bonfire every ten feet with the ability to warp between any bonfire from the game's start is sensible
I mean sensible in comparison with the original Dark Souls, which had a tendency to place bonfires in goofy locations--the one in Sen's Fortress where you have to drop from the side of the castle and the one in the cave near Queelag come to mind.
I am gonna laugh my ass off when DA:I flops hard. The series has always been terrible and this looks no different. If any RPG is gonna top Divinity, it'll be PoE or some unknown game. Yes, Dragon Age: Origins, 95 in Gamespot, 91 in Metacritic and 2009 RPGOTY was terrible.
Why are BioWare haters so retard? really, they are looking for little insignificant things to feel offended and bitch about.
I can't speak for others, but I found it to be an incredibly boring game with a generic, uninspired art style (according to DA2's art team, they were told to go "generic fantasy" for Origins), a serviceable combat system at best, bland companions, ugly graphics with low-res textures, bland music, bland story about "Darkspawn;" everything about the game was just boring and generic. I mean, really, what was there to like about it!?
If PC gamer's video is any indication, the game doesn't even have particularly good looking textures to begin with. I have a feeling that all that VRAM is just going to be used to prevent any pop-in, and not because the game uses really high res textures (which it doesn't seem to). That's not the game's main visual problem though: the art style and the world look incredibly drab; I realize they're in Mordor and all, but that doesn't excuse ugly, drab environments.
And yet the textures in the game still look like complete ass. Final nail in idTech5's coffin? I think so.
Fucking id Tech 5. Not only will it demand tons of VRAM, but the textures will also look atrocious just like every idTech 5 game.

Good review. It was pretty funny how consolites hyped the shit out of this, even though they say they despise MMOs, and this game is just an FPS with all the worst elements of MMOs, but none of the good.
