The PS4 doesn't output native 4K content (ie games aren't rendered at 4K), but the 1080p content it outputs does scale very well to 4K--all 1080p content scales really well with 4K as 4K is 4 times the resolution, so it stretches the 1080p content evenly and produces cleaner upscaled content than if you were upscaling 1080p to a 1440p monitor or something. That being said, I wouldn't buy a 4k tv as none of the content on television is 4K and I don't even think you can buy any movies that play at 4K.

They'll be out of business in 10 years time anyways. Investing in gamestop is the equivalent of investing in Blockbuster.
I love it. Having all the trees and shrubbery actually move with the wind or when you're directly above them with a helicopter is amazing. Make sure you have the Nvidia Godrays turned on. Even if you have an AMD gpu, you can still turn it on, and my god does it make a HUGE difference. The volumetric fog setting has less of a framerate hit than the enhanced setting.
edit: oh, you're talking about XBONE version huh? Do the console versions have the Nvidia Godrays? Because I didn't like the look of the game without them. The Dunia engine needs good direct lighting to avoid appearing overly dark, and without the godrays on, I thought it looked pretty fugly. Not to mention the godrays turn on the volumetric fog, which is fucking great. Play on PC if you can.
6 months for detail that's barely noticeable? Lol, must suck to be a herm.
how salty are you right now?
I played the game when it was relevant, which I believe was 9 months ago now.
Not sure why I would be salty.
lol, What the hell is that even supposed to mean? Do games somehow become shit in the span of six months? Christ nobody told me--here I was playing Swat 4 and Chaos Theory, thinking they were some of the best games ever made and withstood the test of time, but I guess I can't enjoy them anymore because they're no longer relevant.
welp... time to save up for that 750ti i've been eyeing for a while
If you're going sub-$300, you're better off with AMD. Nvidia only really starts to be attractive once you reach the 970.
Badass. Hopefully they bump up the texture quality too, and it's not simply PS4 quality textures at the highest settings.
Wait wait wait, since when did Tormentos get a god damn PC!!? Has the world gone crazy!? Anyway, download the newest beta drivers: here. It fixes most of the stuttering.
Danm the drivers i forgot about that...
Downloading now..
Yeah, I'd also recommend switching to Borderless instead of Fullscreen, with Vsync off. It fixed vsync issues for me at least.
Well. PC Gamer reports a much better performance than in case of Assassin Creed Unity.
PC Gamer article
PS4 version is 1080p and 30 fps in a mix of medium and high settings.
Meanwhile PC Gamer tested with unoptimized drivers it got following results
Radeon HD 7870 with 16GB of RAM and an AMD FX-6200 clocked at 3.8GHz, and the game ran at between 30-40fps on high settings at 1080p
PC Gamer's readers itself reported the next results:
I have an AMD R9 270x, 8 gigs of RAM and an A10 6800k clocked at 4.5 and the game runs between 40-60 fps on ultra but drops to 20-30 if alot of explosions occur. Also there was a shadow bug if I put HBAO+, the shadows were so dark if you entered it you didn't see a thing but it was patched.
AMD A10-6800K at 4.4GHZ with a Radeon HD7770, 8GB RAM, on Windows 8.1, I get a solid 30FPS on high and it rarely drops when driving or massive explosions.
PC 3 (back up junker): AMD HD7970, AMD Phenom IIx6 1100t black (4.1 OC), 8gb Ram, HDD, Win 7 High custom settings 35-40 fps, dips while driving.
PC4: (lappy for the lawls) Dell Laptop intel i7 cpu, integrated graphics, 6gb ram win 8.1 minimal custom settings 720p res 30+ fps.
I haven't measure the frames but on my R270 FX6350 is has allot of stuttering, and the frames look bad,i was trying to run high with AA off, but still was getting slow frames and screen tear.
Wait wait wait, since when did Tormentos get a god damn PC!!? Has the world gone crazy!? Anyway, download the newest beta drivers: here. It fixes most of the stuttering.
