Probably Bayonetta 2. Divinity OS would be nice, but I doubt many Gamespot editors have even played it--nonBlizzard PC exclusive, really long game that's pretty brutal in the beginning...nah, I just don't think many of them even tried it out, and while I'd like to think Kevin's voice matters most, it's probably a vote thing. Bayonetta 2 is easy for an entire office to get through or at least play for a significant portion of its campaign given how comparatively shorter it is.

For me, it's hard to say....either Grimrock 2 or Divinity.

Wow.... I just had to wipe the BS off my monitor....

Dat NVidia Hyperbole.. Go back to doing what you do... Graphics cards. Try making it where average people can afford them also.

Yeah, those $200 GTX 760s and $320 970s are just so out of range for most people. What do they expect us to do, save up for years!? $300!!? Nobody can afford that kind of shit!!

@mr_huggles_dogLink Yeah, you really need $2000 to beat the shit out of consoles.

I'm just saying.... I used to be able to buy their best cards for 400-500. Not their almost best.

Well, the only thing you need their best cards for is if you're planning on gaming at 4K or 1440p/120hz, so...I don't really see the problem in having crazy enthusiast GPUs. Wait a minute, what the hell am I talking about--you STILL CAN buy their best GPU for around $500 (ie the GTX 980).

They still sound bitter

Ok, let's clear this up. Nvidia is doing fine--amazing in fact. They're completely dominating the discrete GPU market. 970s are flying off the shelves faster than they can produce them. They're in no trouble. The console hardware market is not the lucrative cash cow that many people think it is. It's just not. Their investors didn't give a flying **** that AMD won the console market. That said, I disagree with the idea that consoles will go away anytime soon, but Jen didn't even say that to begin with--he simply said their days of being the ideal way to play games are over and that is very much true.

It is gonna be incredibly hard for consoles to compete once we start seeing Titan level performance in $150-$200 GPUs, which will happen VERY SOON (the 970 is already there for ~$320)

Far Cry 3 was not very good, imo. At one point when you burned down the ganja crops, I thought: "finally, it's missions will keep getting better". Unfortunately, it didn't. After a while the game offers nothing. It's a fps reusing copious amount of design and code from Assassin's Creed - a complete piece of shit game series. The first one was the only good one, and was a completely different game.

Ubisoft uses copious amounts of design and code from ALL their games nowadays. They're all blending into one homogenous Ubisoft open-world game. Even Blacklist borrowed the movement mechanics of AssCreed. Personally I liked Far Cry 3 even if the story was utter trash (Blood Dragon was the far more interesting game anyways).

Oh, and modern Ubisoft is utter horseshit compared to GCN/PS2/XB era Ubisoft--the Ubisoft that made classics like Rainbow Six 3, Chaos Theory, Beyond Good and Evil, and the original Prince of Persia trilogy.

I doubt it has to do with Nintendo games not having compelling stories, because...quite frankly, none of the games you listed has a compelling story with the exception of TLOU, and even that's just your typical Road/post-apocalyptic zombie affair. The Deus Ex series is pretty much the only series I've ever seen that has a real message to it outside of the Final Fantasy friendship is forever non-sense.

The idea that Nintendo should simply do what everyone else is doing is silly.

Are we in such a black hole of mediocrity that people praise the AC franchise so much? The combat is bad, the AI is bad, you kill someone in front of 200 people and they don't even notice it. The game just completely sucks. I rented part 2 and turned it off after 20 minutes thats how stupid it was. Why do these games sell so much every single year? The commercial for Unity looks cool but I know once I play it, it will be NOTHING like the commercial.

Anyone else think its overrated?

I've always contended that it's the absolute worst of the major publishers' big franchises; it baffles my mind that people constantly insult CoD (which has very solid foundations and fairly consistent quality), yet rarely mention AssCreed. I wouldn't say the combat is terrible, but it's certainly nowhere near Arkham quality. My biggest issue with the series has always been its horrendous contextual controls, which inadvertently cause your character to do things you never intended for them to do like accidentally running up a wall. I never understood how the people that made Prince of Persia could **** up the basic controls of their game so much. I also dislike how the series pretends to be a stealth game, but really isn't--it's just a shitty action adventure franchise with lame missions. People will put up with a lot of mediocrity if the setting is good enough, and AssCreed always has had interesting locales.

Yeah, the new update is badass. I am loving the AK 74. Really recommend this Plastic AK 74 w/night sights mod: link I really don't like that new M4A1 they introduced though; it seems really inaccurate and weak; even with playing on the servers that do the whole 30 supply thing and equipping everything other than a stupid laser sight, the gun still seemed really weak to me compared to the MK18 or the AC556.

Because it's hard to be interested in a game about emo teens driving around in a semi-fantasy Day Z world acting annoying when there's games like Divinity Original Sin, Grimrock 2, and Wasteland 2 out.

I wanna know if vgchartz is even remotely accurate right now. It has ps4 at 12.3 million sold with xbone only at 6.1. That's really bad. Even if it IS off, could it be off by millions?

It also said ps4 outsold Xbox one 2:1 in NA which is funny cause NA used to be Xbox territory. It also said drive club was the 2nd highest selling game last week and xbone only sold 700 systems in Japan haha.

I don't know if that site is particularly reliable, but those figures are pretty consistent with what I've been hearing (ie that the PS4 is selling at least 2x as much as the XB1). It's not really surprising. Neither console has a particularly strong set of exclusives, so people will naturally go with the system that performs best in multiplats.
