I don't think many pc gamers care about it. All time peak player count is 877.

That's the number of simultaneous users playing the game, not the total amount of people who have bought it. On their steam page alone there are over 4,000 reviews, and it's impossible to review a game on steam if you haven't bought it; even with this, it's not indicative of sales as most people don't bother writing reviews for the games they've bought--I know I've only reviewed like 2 or 3. It's also not surprising that the simultaneous peak player count is low considering this is a single player only game that only lasts for 15-25hrs on avg.

It had amazing gunplay (it really is a shame there hasn't been an idTech 5 multiplayer game as it does gunplay VERY well) and is overall a great game, but it does require you to get over the overall shitiness of idTech 5--the lighting is nice (albeit very static), but the textures, geometry, aliasing, and even sound is just abysmal.

If you like stealth games, you'll probably like Watch Dogs more. If you don't enjoy stealth games, you'll probably enjoy Sleeping Dogs more. I'd say Watch Dogs had more interesting gameplay, but a shittier story--keep in mind though that I am slightly biased given my predilection for stealth games.

They tend to only like shitty games that are heavily marketed (money=good) like Destiny, so...no. Sad really as it's one of the best FPSs in recent memory.

And this

Lo Wang is so amazing . Easily the best character of 2013 followed by Edward of Black Flag

Yeah, I was actually really astonished at just how much I actually gave a shit about Hoji and Lo Wang. Even Bioshock Infinite was never able to make me really care about Elizabeth, but Hoji....that's another story. Really really odd considering it's hardly the type of game that you would expect that from.

Just saw some footage of the game (I've been ignoring it for quite the while!), and I definitely can understand the Infamous vibes. Seems very similar. Overall, the game looked really boring though--the cities are incredibly lifeless, the enemies that are there may as well not be for how little of a challenge they actually present, and the whole skateboarding around shtick will lose its appeal very quickly.

Seems like the game is getting by mainly due to its art style--hilarious how the same people that bitch about how annoying it is to focus on graphics! graphics! graphics! fall head over heels over games with mediocre gameplay with interesting art styles (ie Ni No Kuni, Child of Light, and now this).

No. Mods are great and all, but ultimately I game on PC because I enjoy choice and I know that I know what's the best way for ME to enjoy a game. I don't like developers forcing shit like 30fps or low FOVs on me. Honestly, if it wasn't for PC gaming, I would have abandoned gaming a long time ago--the console market is really just that boring (same old linear TPSs, clunky controller-based FPSs, and shitty open world games over and over again).

Man, I gotta learn to track PC games as well as console games. I never heard of this. I guess I never heard of it because I was hiding "on" PC. How do you hermits see your games from up here?

I made a thread a few days ago about the game. Was up for a decent while. Anyway, great score. The game is fantastic. I am currently. making my own little dungeon in the game's editor. Here's the map so far:

It's still really early on. It's easy to get down simple stuff like secret doors/buttons and simple trap door type things, but for the more intricate stuff, you have to mess around with the scripting in Lua. Here's my first line of written code if you could call it that (it's at least code written in Lua):

Took me a little while to get it down, but it does what I want it do. It requires multiple floor plates to be simultaneously depressed to open the door.

@DarthaPerkinjan: Mortgage? Really brah? As I said first, you are really trying to hard. The whole "PC gaming is uber expensive" is a myth that just won't die.

PC gaming IS uber expensive....for 14 year olds.

1. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

2. Thief 2

3. Deus Ex

4. Hitman Contracts (or Blood Money if you prefer)

5. Mark of the Ninja

Dishonored gets an honorable mention, but it's just far too easy a game. Even on the hardest difficulty, it's just insanely easy to stay out of eyesight by using blink and the jumps. The recent Styx game was also surprisingly good. Oh, and Blacklist is still horseshit compared to Chaos Theory; the shadowplay in it was useless (most of it being line of sight stealth), sound played no real role, and it was severely hampered by its incorporation of Assassins Creed style movement.
