[QUOTE="franky_babylon"]I agree, none of the others motion controllers could do what NATAL did with milo or what ever that kids name was.

PS3_3DO

milo was impressive software but voice recognition and gestures aren't ground breaking tech

O' really? I like to see a game like Peter showed that you have played?

Firstly it wasn't a game it was a demonstration of what was possible

secondly are you disputing that voice recognition has been around for a while?!? or that gestures are the newest thing ever?

as I said it was very impressive software making good use of the natal hardware but imo the kicking balls stage demo was more impressive because of the full body motion recognition which truly hasn't been done

[QUOTE="Phazevariance"][QUOTE="bingbaocao"] i say publicity will be the deciding factor (also giving it as a pack-in deal like sony did with the dual shock might work as well)PS3_3DO

As for support, it apparently works with old games that were't programmed for it, such as forza 2 (for example).

If true this Wins hands down and is going to be really big for MS.

yea but how well would it work?

e.g. forza 2 how precise would the degrees of acceleration/braking and steering be? Halo do you pretend to hold a gun, aim and pull a trigger? Ninja Gaiden do you wave your arms around like crazy doing flips and uber ninja moves?

NATAL. It went well beyond just motion controls.

Nintendo didn't impress much this year imo but better than last yearcasual chat for ages followed by falling back on the tried and tested mario and metroid...i'm not gonna rant but seriously how long can they do that for?

Microsoft showed a few cool games SC:conviction, Forza 3 and Mass Effect 2 caught my eye though their constant talk of going "b3yond" was quite funny!

Sony had uncharted 2, last guardian, god of war 3, Agent (despite no info) and GT5 but I feel they didn't have enough time for all their games should've left the Ps2 bit out...my guess is they'll have more exclusive reveals at TGS

It's hard to choose between Sony & Microsoft so I have to rely on my inner fanboy and choose Sony but I got a Wii, 360 and Ps3 so YAY for me! I don't really need to choose!

I like how you dissed Nintendo for using Mario and Metroid when gloating about sequels with two expections(Agent and Last Guardian).

Count the various iterations of Mario and Metroid games...the lists just don't compare!

e.g. There were three games featuring Mario in ONE conference!!!

What I was trying to point out besides that was Nintendo basically just need to mention Zelda, Mario or Metroid and they're sorted which, tho I'm a fan of Zelda and Metroid, I find kinda annoying

i would love if someone could explain what the sony dilmote dose that wiimote with wiimoteion+ dosent :P

calvinx6

1st that "dilmote" was just a concept desgin as stated from the beginning. 2nd its different because sony's motion controller does not use an actual sensor bar but rather uses the PS eye to detect it using the sphere on top of the motion controller. Thus allowing precise movement within the sight of the PS eye....can't do that on the wii thats for sure....you gotta use a sensor bar for that thing.

and what if you don't have a eye toy will your dilmote still work.

what if you don't have a Wii will your Wiimote still work?

[QUOTE="bingbaocao"] i agree bingbaocao

i agree on the price but not the support....

Dualshock was introduced for the PSone and got very wide ranging support from devs...

The key thing as always is demand for the features if 360 owners start to prefer games with support for motion etc. devs will support it

Then again to get the interest of gamers Microsoft need the games

i say publicity will be the deciding factor (also giving it as a pack-in deal like sony did with the dual shock might work as well)

which is where I think microsoft edges it in this case...their marketing is beyond crazy, no expense too great :P
