@Gencic: Speak with your wallet good sir. Right now, it's Indie crap that sucks anyway, so it's easy to do. But if the studios who make games you'd otherwise buy start doing this crap, pirate the unholy hell out of their stuff. Do it mercilessly.

They either give money to the campaigns directly or to the beltway lobbyists who push to have language preferential to their product (not just industry) worded into appropriations bills. Anyone who supports any establishment candidate gets what they deserve.

You can attack the large frigates and cruisers in the system (and their defending spawn fighters) to get the items you need. Or you'll get nice expensive bits to sell for profit. You don't HAVE to mine. It's all in how you want to play it.
