Maybe preowned Prince Of Persia. They had that there for the same price.

Unfortunately I'm only on Silver. I'm ashamed to say, but I'm a very casual player that just like to sit on the couch and play maybe up to 1-1.5x hours a night after work. I couldn't justify to myself to fork out dollars to MS for doing online. I'd rather spend that $75-$100 a year with a great new SP game.
Each to their own opinion though, I'm not knocking Gold, that's just the way I prefer.
I was hoping for a SP game with great story, atmosphere and good gameplay mechanics. Or am I asking too much?

I remember playing FEAR1 on PC, and the AI was terrific. Does this still stay true for FEAR2?

Saw a sale on at JB Hifi for either FEAR 2 or Terminator Salvation at $39 new. That seems like a good deal. Just wondering on any recommendations as to which to buy. Bit strapped for cash at the moment so I can only get 1x at the moment.

Yeah, went back into Fallout3 and it's disturbingly ugly (the text that is). GTA4 is impossible to read the mobile phone. Must be a setting on the TV. I should've gone Samsung instead of Sony. So many people praise the Samsungs. Guess it's time to contact Sony and find out how much it costs to get someone out to calibrate. I have looked at the manual and there are so many settings to change things as as Colour Spacing, Colour Temp etc. I have no idea what any of that means. Warm, Cool, Neutral, User. What tha?
I'm just running the screen settings out of the box.
I know the 360 can produce good quality images and text since I've seen it on displays, I just need to get mine the same.

[QUOTE="chrispn"]

I have the 360 hooked up to my HDTV 46" 1080p and the difference isn't that great. In fact I find it very hard to read game text. Fallout3 is the worst, all the text is blurry. I have the 360 set for AUTO and widescreen. Is this normal or should I get my eyesight tested? :?

Bluray movies with subtitles are easy to read though. So is this moreso the TV isn't liking the upscaling that well?

Did you really set the 360 to be in 720p or 1080p?

I have it set to Auto. I just changed it to 1080p, and it has fixed it up. Thanks. Maybe the Auto doesn't work too well. Also found some weird settings for Standard, and Enhanced. But by changing it too Enhanced it makes everything very dark. And yet someone told me to only have it on enhanced for HDTV's.
Way too many settings, just wish things were plug and play.

It is worth picking up. Just be sure to play in bursts, due to some repetition.

This game and Star Wars Episode 1. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out which one is worse. The Star Wars games back in the hey day of Xwing, Tie Fighter, Dark Forces, Jedi Knight were top notch. Now it's just gone downhill.
If I worked at Lucasarts I would propose the idea of integrating Xwing/Tie Fighter space combat with Jedi Knight. Pure seller.

I went with the Sony Bravia 46" W4000 because I found it on sale. Only 60hz, with 24Hz technology for Bluray. Looked excellent for picture quality. Also of note, many people recommend calibrating your new HDTV by a professional.

Bought a 360 not too long ago and now wish I could return the TV. Considering it's 1080p, the game picture is great, but text is hard to read in some games. Fallout3 I can't even see what I'm selecting in the pipboy menu. If I get up closer it's no problem. Maybe it's the TV, or I might need to get my eyesight tested.

Unfortunately I won't be able to get this game since Lucasarts on launch said that my PC wouldn't be able to run it. I haven't spent the amount on my PC that they said is required to run on PC, that was the reason PC was a NO at launch.
