Windows 7. As quick as XP and reliable. Running RC2 here for some time, still some major bugs but nothing that affects gaming. Media Player each time you open it does searching, doesn't save previous files in cache. Games Explorer has no way of editing so you can't add command lines to the games there. This WILL NOT be corrected and fixed at all even on official RTM release. MS feel if you can't edit these things then things can't go wrong.

In regards to grass being high when prone, if you roll around with the q and e keys it sometimes flattens the grass out so you can see better. Just like in real life. There are bugs in the game, but what game hasn't been released with bugs? Patches will come, BI is a small company so it does take slightly longer. It's a very good game from the masters of military simulation.
I enjoyed it at 1st, butam slowly becomingtired of it. Could be due to myself assigning all the special moves to Macro Keys on the keyboard, so to perform super moves I just had to press one key. Also put cruise control on for forward and kicks so sat back and demolished the opponent.
However they did extremely well making the PC version work well. It looks great, performs great and can be fun.
Gameplay-wise, I'd forgotten how tough these games can be - you have to pick up everything that isn't nailed down, and you have to try things that might not seem logical... I can't remember any of this stuff, although of course it's been 20 years.
I'm going to try to complete this without consulting a walkthrough. I succeeded 20 years ago, so I should still be able to do it now. Well, I'm off to seek my fortune.

This shows how much games have been dumbed down and less challenging than what they used to be.

It's not like console is more powerful than PC. If they are doing this because they think piracy is moreso on PC, then just release as a Steam product.

Why do people have this fake perception that steam games cant be pirated? stem games are pirated just like any other game.
They can be, but it is harder.
Good point, prob reacting too soon. So maybe they are going to see how many sales they get from the 360 version first. It's not the first time this has happened. Mass Effect was released on PC way later than 360, as was Gears of War. There are prob other games as well, just can't think of them.
The Witcher is a excellent RPG, as many here have mentioned. Oblivion and Fallout3 are good too. All provide many many hours of great RPGness. Mass Effect is good, but pales in comparison to the 3 listed. I am so looking forward to Dragon Age Origins.
At first I was going to, but then got back to playing LFD and wanted more of it. Why should I be upset that they are going to release a game I enjoy but with new settings, new characters, new weapons, new zombies?
I think people should boycott moreso about how long do we have to wait for Episode 3 of HL2.
It's not like console is more powerful than PC. If they are doing this because they think piracy is moreso on PC, then just release as a Steam product. Luckily I have both 360 and PC, but I'm sure if they released Alan Wake on PC it would've looked so much better.
It's there loss really, look at how many copies Bethesda sold of Oblivion and Fallout3, due to making it across all platforms.
Reminds me of Prince Of Persia devs shafting the PC supporters by only releasing the DLC epilogue on 360 only, despite the game coming out on both platforms.
Tiger Woods 10 or/and Grand Slam Tennis. With the MotionPlus. That's helped get me back into playing the Wii.
